I followed behind the Alpha, and with other pack members following behind me. Occasionally, two of the same wolves would run up to the Alpha and they would converse, but then brutally dismiss them. It would only be my best guess that they were his Beta and Third In Command.

I would look around as they mind-linked, leaving me out of the conversation. I was fine with that, it was Alpha business. I decided to thank him and move on, I needed to get home. I had already missed my flight, so I guess I would have to convince Alfred to take me home. As I turned to leave two larger males sandwiched me, pressing their shoulders against mine to prevent me from going anywhere but straight.

What is the meaning of this? I questioned, staring gruffly at the back of the Alphas head.

He turned his head slightly, barely acknowledging my question. Well we can't let ye go anywhere. You're valuable. We need you. He answered nonchalantly.

I peered at him, unsure if he was serious or joking. When he didn't add on did I realize he was dead serious. Need me for what?

My newly developed plans. Which you will be my main part of it, of course.

I'll.... just be leaving now. I said before biting on the neck of one guard and using the other as a bounce pad to boost myself and get a head start on running. I listened as I heard what seemed to be the whole pack after me. Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit. I started making sharp turns and leaping over small streams to make them lose my scent. I continued on as the sounds became more faint, crossing a large river.

You just can't seem to stay out of trouble can you? Capricorn chided, then took control.

Sorry... I replied, feeling childish.

How is it that after four years you still don't have a mate. Oh wait, it's the fact you're always locked up whether it be in our room or some evil dudes hands. Really Sam, you need to grow up and be more careful! You aren't a pup anymore! You have responsibilities, you have a pack, a brother, and your father! What is he going to say?! He's going to be mad at you! And even worse at me! I'm supposed to be taking care of you! That's it! I'm done! I'm a wolfskin rug when he comes home!

I sighed and listened to Capricorn rant on about everything from my childishness, to how I should quit my channel, to how dead she was, everything. It was sort of entertaining before she started lecturing me and saying I wasn't allowed out of the country anymore. I patiently listened as she brought us back to Jack's house, where two tired, cold and sick men sat on the cement stairs.

I took control, and walked up to them. When they didn't look up, I whined and nuzzled their cold hands one by one. They both looked up and jumped in surprise, then smiled and laughed and cried as the both embraced me, probably grasping at whatever warmth was available.

"Yer alive!!" Jack yelled, laughing and crying into my pelt.

"Oh my God Sam, don't ever do that again." Mark cried, squeezing me tighter.

We sat out there for ten, twenty minutes crying and laughing and hugging until we decided to get inside and get warm. I changed into my last clean clothing, deciding it was best to leave tonight. I'm sure the Vampire Council have people looking for me now. I should really take Capricorn's advice, I'm twenty now. I need to grow up, I need to take on my responsibilities. I need to join my pack, officially.

Third Person
Everything that hinted of her existence in the apartment was gone, and everything was as it was in her room. She continued on wiping her traces as she fled the building and into the night, leaving nothing but a letter on the pillow in her room.

Dashing to the airport with inhuman speed, she scanned the runway for any sign of the privet jet, or the pilot. She sighed in frustration as she blended in with the crowd, eyes dancing about from face to face. She eventually gave up and resided at a small coffee shop. Muttering to herself, she devised a plan to get off the large island.

"Yeah, there's really no need for that." She heard a male voice say behind her. She shot up straight, and turned to face the owner of the voice. Relaxing from her defensive position, she sat up and hugged her brother.

"How did you know?" She asked, her brother wrapping his arms around her as they rocked gentle.

"I could hear you talking to yourself." He replied simply. They talked and talked as they walked to join the others who were patiently waiting by the jet outside. They all greeted each other warmly and exchanged stories as they entered the jet and prepared for take off.

Echo's POV
"So," Clint started as we flew into the night, "About the war. Did you receive any allies? Any information? Anything?"

I sighed and shook my head, "I had an offer, but it kind of went sour."

"How so?" Clint asked, pressing me on. I hated him for that.

"Well, just to sum it up... one of the members of the council thought I was a fluffy dog and thought I would be a good pet."

He sighed, combing his hair back and resting his elbows on his knees. A sure sign of, well, disappointment and frustration. "Alright, I'll have a word with the council tomorrow morning."

"No, what you mean is you're going to have a little more than a word with these dumb ass vampires who think they can do whatever the hell they want!" Zoe spoke up. We all looked at her in shock, she was normally a really quiet and timid girl. "Shut up I'm on my period." She grumbled, slouching back and crossing her arms. We all looked at each other, then chuckled and continued onto the plans and battle strategy.

"What we are going to do, is have three groups of four. Two men, two women; one man and one woman are going to be in wolf form, while the other two will stay human. This will help keep an eye on the wolves' flanks and backs which are exposed. The wolves' jobs are to use their hearing and for stealth and defence. Smaller targets are harder to hit. Now, these groups are like a pack, a family. You need each other to stay alive. If anyone wonders off, it's their human or wolf partner in that group to find them and bring them back. The whole group can't go looking for them, we need as many people fighting as possible." Clint explained, articulating his well thought out strategy.

"What are our alliances?" I asked, curious.

"Lycans, Wizards, Sirens, Mermaids, and Children Of The Night."

Chills ran up my spine at the mention of their infamous names, "how?" Children of the night, are like child versions of demons. They posses dark magic and were worshipped by people long ago, out of fear and to make sure they didn't attack villages. They kill in the most painful ways, fangs that drip with incurable poison which is said to be the Devils blood. Eyes that strike terror with one look, nails that went untrimmed and into claws. In daylight they blend in as sweet, innocent children at night, demons that take form to various things: Big black dogs, a burning soul, black mist or smoke. Their favourite is to cry and pretend their lost to lure their unsuspecting victims in, and their bodies are never seen again.

"I paid a price that you don't want to know." He replied, then talked about gathering up more allies, going home and making some calls as we all train for Halloween. Halloween, the only thing I enjoyed these days, now turned into a possible day of my death. I swore to myself that if I were to die, that I wouldn't move on unless Mark, Jack, Bob, Wade, and Ken lived a full and happy life.

To die would be an awfully big adventure.
