"Thanks again for saving us." Another Kitsune named Miko said, embracing me in a hug.
I wrapped my arms around her, "Anytime. Take care." I watched as she and a few others left through the gate to go back to Japan.
I got to know a few of the Vampires, and turns out a few of them have their own youtube channels.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" I asked Jasper, who still looked a little weak.
He chuckled, then wrapped an arm around me, making some of the pack members growl. "I'll be fine." He said, ignoring their animalistic threats.
"See you later Jasper. Say hi to the rest of the knights for me." I said as he walked to his gate to go back to the states.
He turned and waved in response then disappeared into the crowd. Clint walked up beside me, "Why do you like vampires so much? They're bloodsucking leeches."
"Not all of them. A good portion of them signed the contract and made an oath. Think of it... Like cats and dogs getting along."
He scoffed then muttered "Cats and dogs getting along."
He headed over to the parking lot, everyone following behind. Well, everyone but me.
"What are you thinking about?" Cassie asked me.
"If I really want to commit to being a full-time member of the pack. I mean, living forever. And I have a ton if fans, they'll know something's up when they notice I'm not old like other YouTubers my age."
She nodded, pretending she knew what my problem was like. "Maybe you can... No."
I look up at her, "What?"
She scratches her neck, "I was going to say fake your death but..."
"Yeah, that would totally work." I replied sarcastically.
We headed off to Cassie's car and I hopped in the passenger seat. "Well, there's always coming out and... No that isn't it either."
"Coming out and saying what I am?" I laughed a harsh laugh, "I don't know if that would go well with everyone."
"Why not?"
"As part as an oath when we first shifted, we promised to tell no one but our mate if they're human, and that's it."
She nodded, pulling out of the parking lot. "Right, it's been so long since I've signed that oath."
"I was also considering another option..." I started, then regretted it.
"And that is...?" She said, cruising along the highway.
"Not doing the initiation..." I said then cringed, waiting for a reaction.
"You're kidding, right? You've got to be fucking shitting me Sam!" She said, losing her shit. "You have to!! People like you only come around once! You're one of the last ones to properly join! We need the whole pack!"
I slunk into my seat, playing around with the undone seatbelt. "But...why?"
Her eyes widened, and a blank expression spread across her face. "I- I don't know why..." She whispered, then looked at me. "DO YOUR SEATBELT ON!! YOU AREN'T IMMORTAL YET YOU KNOW!!!"
I jumped then scrambled to put on my seatbelt. Once it was on properly Cassie relaxed. "Sorry..." I muttered.
She sighed then shook her head, racing by Clint's car and Liam's too. We only took three but since Liam had a Jeep Commander, he could fit more people.
