I wake up with a jolt, then relax a little and closed my eyes. Oh, we're still on the bus... Wait. I shoot my eyes open, eyes darting around from one bunk to the next. Instead of curtains, there were strong-looking bars. I test them by touching them and sure enough, they're silver. I cradle my burning hand after ripping it from the bar. In the archway that lead to the stairs to get down, there was fitted cage doors. "Hmm." I hummed to myself, biting my top lip.
I sat up, crossing my legs and looked out the window. We're travelling at a very fast pace, almost too fast for my liking. There was only two beds without bars, which must be for the guys who hijacked the bus. There was no one else in the room with me, which was okay I guess. At least it means that they didn't kidnap the guys. I watched as Cassie and Clint's cars catch up to the bus, ramming its side a few times. The bus swerved the the left, making me slam into the window, the swerved to the right almost making me touch the bars.
Careful guys! There are silver bars here!
Hang on Sam, we'll get you out of there. Cameron replied.
Why am I the one always getting kidnapped? I asked to no one in particular.
Because you're the youngest and the weak link. Clint answered nonchalantly.
Hearing that from him made choosing between becoming a full-fledged member of the pack, or staying mortal a bit easier. I ended the mind link and looked around, until the door opened. Fritz came in, holding a plate of freshly cooked steak.
"I hope you're hungry..." He cooed as he climbed the stairs between my bunk and Mark's.
There was a small gap under the door, big enough to slid the plate through it. I looked at it, then turned away trying to avoid the mouth-watering scent.
"Aww, come on. You wouldn't want it to get cold." He chided, "Besides, you need your strength for what's going to happen next."
I turned my head back slightly, looking at him through the corner of my eye at him. He only smiled darkly in response, which kind of worried me. I looked down at the steak, then flashed my eyes back at him. He nodded, so I picked it up and examined it.
"I didn't poison it, don't worry." He spoke up.
I ripped a small piece off with my mouth, chewing it slowly. It was medium-rare, how I always liked my steak. My stomach growled in complaint of how long it was taking for me to trust the man and swallow the steak.
Screw it, I'm hungry. I swallowed it then dug into my food.
"That's a good girl." He praised then left me alone in the room.
"AAAAGGGHHHHH! NO! LEAVEMEALONELEAVEMEALONE!!!" I heard a familiar voice.
I look up to see a tv showing Jack playing Dead Before Daylight. At least they're okay and enjoying their time home. I half-heartedly pushed the plate under the gap, then curled up on my side. Tears slid down from my eyes, but I didn't bother wiping them away.
I turned my body away from the tv and watched as the pack started losing the bus. "Something here seems foul, something here just reeks of blood and suffering. Could it be these halls are echoing... Of death? We'll see.
In all my dreams I see, a maze of halls with bloody walls and countless scrawls reminding me 'It's Me'. Don't play these games, you've lost your fright. I'm armed with more than a light, and I'm surviving five nights.
No phones no screens no more. Just you and me, a gun or three and nothing else between me and this door.
You bring the fur, I'll bring the fight. Hey Foxy come get a bite, 'cause I'm surviving five nights." I sang softly, ever since I heard Mark signing it, it's grown on me.
