Chapter 34

My eyes shoot open as I sit up, launching myself out of a dream. I was in a circular room, with the third of the wall completely missing. Pillars stood in place to support the ceiling and roof in the place of the missing wall by the bed I was asleep on. There were long mesh curtains that danced slowly in the soft breeze. The room itself was all white marble, with an intricate black design in the middle of the floor.

The bed was circular, like the room and had large red satan curtains framing the bed, making a cave out of the bed. I slowly crawled out through the entrance and looked around the room. It was dark and empty, and the interior design suggested it was years and years old.

I trotted over to the giant glassless  window and peered down. We were on the coast, and I was in a giant ass castle, in a tall tower. "How the fuck have they manage to hide all this?" I muttered to myself.

I glanced about my room for the last time, and decided to take my dream as a warning. I scaled one of the pillars and onto the roof. I was definitely in another building, unless I just didn't notice I arrived at a castle and not the mansion I thought I was in.

I ignored all my thoughts and focused on finding a way out. Peering down over the side, I studied the jump between here and the water, as well as the survival rate.

Fuck it, I thought to myself.

Capricorn snorted, Yeah, you say that now.

I took a good couple of steps back and sprinted forward, using my super speed an strength to launch me towards the water.

It felt like I was going in slow motion as I sailed through the air. I could see a lot from in the air. The small town in the middle of the woods, which lead to more and more cities.

I laughed a carefree laugh as I plunged into the cold water, sending chills straight up my back. As I reach the surface, I look around in disbelief I had just jumped off a tower.

I get over that thought as I make my way back to shore. I figured it would be faster to shift, wet clothing would only weigh me down. I shift and let Capricorn take control, letting the adrenaline from the jump make us go faster than I've ever been.

Jack's P.O.V
It's been five hours since I last saw Sam, and it's been the 900th time I've been out looking for her. I just settled in waiting at the front door, Wiishu and Mark sitting with me. I told Wiishu that she could go home, but she insisted being that Sam helped us get back together, that she at least had to help.

Bob and Wade left a couple of hours ago to go to their flight. Sam missed hers hours ago, so she might not have a way home.

Wiishu shivered, so I wrapped my arm around her, pulling her closer to my side. "Why don't you go home? I'm okay here, and besides I have Mark with me."

She looked at me, smiling softly. "Alright, only because of how busy I'm going to be tomorrow. I love you Sean, and tell Sam we should hang out sometime."

I smiled back, telling her I would. I watched her as she got into her car and drove off. I sighed, then turned to Mark who was smirking at me. "You glad to have her back?"

"Yeah, but... Nevermind." I answered.

"What, tell me." Mark said, sitting up.

"I really hope she's okay, Sam. She's like a little sister to me." I answered sheepishly.

"I know how you feel. But Jack, remeber? She's like our guardian angel, and not to mention she's probably been through shit like this. She can handle it, I know it." He assured me, then pulled me into a hug. (Hey, it's a little Septiplier moment :D)

"I hope you're right" I said into his ear.

"I hope so too." He muttered. "But I'm sure she's been through stuff like this"

Echo's POV
I have never been through anything like this. An alarm was set off just as I shifted and dozens of vampires were chasing me. Fear is what drove us on as we leaped over rocks and fallen logs and under small spaces.

I could tell Capricorn was starting to get tired, because so was I. I kept pressing her on, like a jockey to a horse in a horse race. I urged her to keep running, to not look back. She was getting annoyed at me but kept going on.

She let me take control, mentally spent so I ran. I sniffed the air as I ran, hoping to find a nearby pack. I was lucky when I smelt one only a couple miles away.

I mentally smiled and started running faster when a weighted net fell right in front of me. I skidded to a stop and sprinted left, only to be cut off by a wall of vampires. I turn around to be greeted by another wall. I climbed up onto a large rock, trying to get some for of high ground.

Soon I was surrounded, so I did the first thing I could think of. I howled.

We all sat in silence, the suspense killing most of the vampires so they all inched towards me. They all chuckled at my failed attempt of a distress call and the fact no one answered. Just as I was about to fight my way out, I heard a howl, and it was pretty close. We all froze in our place as large paws hit the ground, coming closer and closer until silence. Then it went silent, and we all stood there, rigid with fear. Out of nowhere large wolves around Capricorn's size launched into the air, striking down a vast majority of vampires.

Follow me, What appeared to be the Alpha mind-linked me. I followed, not wanting to find out what would happen if I didn't. He was one of the largest of the Wolves, around the size of a miniature pony.

Now, give me one good reason I'm risking the lives of my pack to save you

Now, give me one good reason I'm risking the lives of my pack to save you. He asked, growling.

I am a member of the Zodiac Pack, my wolf is Capricorn. Now give me one good reason I shouldn't snap your neck questioning me. I replied, my hackles rising making me look larger and growling at him.

He stopped growling and glared at me. Prove it.

?????? POV
My wolf Shinsky kept urging me to believe this she-wolf, that we should believe the waves of authority and power that radiated off her. Now, I'm not sexist, but I wouldn't even consider her opinions.

Just please, back off and believe her. He begged.

No, she needs to prove herself. I snapped back, then shut him out.

The she-wolf turned to the right, revealing a symbol. The symbol of the Sea-Goat.
