Run away

Monday. I hate you. It was the Monday of the concert and I had to be in London for around 10am. Wow, the sun was actually up in the clear crystal sky. I heard my phone buzz and saw I had a text from Mat.
Hey Al, meet me in the car park after the concert - Mat X
I had no idea what he wanted. But I know it would be spectacular no matter what.

Lights, people heat silence. Was all that filed the hall that evening. I was scared but happy to be doing this. I scanned the room and saw my dad and Patrick at the back of the hall smiling at me and my dad gave me the thumbs up. I played with my heart, soul and motion I had. Once again I played more than I ever thought I could, my fingers making patterns around the silver keys and black tube I held.

"Mat?" I called out into the deserted car park.
"I'm over here Al!" I heard Mat say. I turn around to see him standing outside the fence that stood on the left of the car park. It was still semi light, around dusk. He takes my hand and opens the door to the field. We begin to walk through the long grass.
"Al I've wanted to do this for a while." He says looking ahead.
"Do what?" I say. He turns around and looks at me as we continue to walk.
"Just, run away with you for an evening."
"Run away hey?" I say raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, this worlds  a crazy place Al but I think I can cope if you stay with me but it's not always going to be easy in the same place....if you see what I mean."
"Yes I see." I say looking at the sunset coming from the distance.
"Let me show you something." Mat says and runs ahead and around a corner. I follow after him and when I turn the corner I stop. It's beautiful. The sun is setting over the ocean in a ray of purples, oranges and yellows that stands in front of me. I turn my head to face Mat who looks like an angel. He was standing directly in the sunset and the sun bounced of his pale skin which gave him a glow. He had laid out a picnic over watching the sunset.
"we both needed a break from reality."
I can tell he's put a lot of effort into this. There are candles, blankets, music, food, fairy lights and cushions everywhere. We sit down and sit side by side and watch the sun set over the water. We sit in silence for what have must have been 20 minutes before Mat pulls out a piece of paper and pen. He writes on it for a second then stands up and walks over to the jar that he had brought with him, it was our jar. He walks back and sits down again.
"Would you like to?" He says handing my the piece of paper. I open it and read what it says
Reason 30 ~ the time we had a picnic in the sunset
I close it up again and put it into the jar. When I look back up Mat is no more than 2 centre-meters from my face. Once again I get lost in his deep blue eyes. They really do tell his story of hate, hurt and passionate love. I close the gap without even noticing and I can feel him breath out in a sweet short breath. His lips connect with mine and electricity runs through my whole body. His hands intertwine with mine and he pulls me closer to his heat. I wrap my arms around his neck and move my hands through his hair. We break apart to catch our breath.
"Reason 31 ~ the time you actually became a good kisser." Mat giggles.
"Shut up!" I say playfully pushing him. He brings me back onto his lap and covers us with a Blanket. We sit there for more hours just cuddling, kissing and enjoying this break from reality to live out our dreams. This is the reason I love Mat, he knows when we need a little time to ourselves without me even needing to tell him. He really is a special snowflake

A/N: hey I hope whoever you are you are enjoying this story it's taking up a lot of my time but I enjoy writing so I'm not entirely bothered. But one question. Would you (after this book is finished) like to see it from Mats point of view?????? Just question X
