Point of View: Josie

I don't know what Jana and the other girls were talking about when I walked in but they all got very quiet. They were staring at me.

"Hi." I said.

"Hey Josie. What's up?" Jinger asked.

"Not much. Mama was wondering if you would like to help with dinner."

"Yes, tell Mama we will be down in a couple of minutes." Jill said. "And tell Israel to help Sayla and Izabel wash up for dinner when it is ready."

"Yes ma'am" I said. I stared walking out the door then I stopped.
"Do you want me to mention that I heard most of that conversation? If so, you should name it Aaliyah if it's a girl and if it's a boy you should name it Aaron."

"Josie please don't tell Mama or Pops or anyone else. They would disown me from the family." Jana said. I could tell she was worried.

"Don't worry I would never tell. I promise."

"Okay thank you Josie." Jana said.

I went downstairs. As much as I badly wanted to tell everyone about the baby, I respected Jana's wishes about keeping it quiet, especially when she wasn't married.

"Mama, they will be down very soon." I told her.

"Okay thank you miss Josie." she said to me.

"Izzy" I called out.
He came running he was wearing James' old camouflage outfit. Michael, Marcus and Spurgeon followed him.

"Your mama would like you to make sure Sayla and Izabel are washed up for dinner when it is ready." I told him

"Okay. Is that all?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Okay thanks Josie." Izzy called behind his shoulder running off with Michael, Marcus and Spurgeon.

The girls came walking down the stairs. I looked at them and they looked at me. Once they reached the bottom of the stairs, Jana and Jill came over to me.

"Josie can we talk to you for a minute?" They whispered to me.

I followed them into another room.

"Now Josie, I know it is very exciting to think you are having another niece or nephew but we do need to keep this quiet." Jana explained.

"Yes. I understand that but why?" I asked.

"When Jessa, and I each had our children, we were married and Mama and most importantly Pops had approved the marriage. Even when Anna and Mama had babies, they were married." Jill explained to me.

"Okay. I understand. I promise I will not tell a single soul about it. But Jana I am happy for you, even under these circumstances." I explained.
