Part of me thought it was a little odd that the older girls all went upstairs. Maybe they just wanted to catch up with each other privately. I understood that.
Turns out Jim-Bob had invited the rest of the family while the girls and I were making dinner which we hadn't originally planned on. Of course everyone is always welcome however some things have gone down between us which we still procrastinate to talk about.
When the girls came down, things seemed tense but I decided to think nothing of it.
Everything in the Duggar household has been a little chaotic these past 9 years ever since the news got out about Josh's scandal. We believe that it has brought the family closer together since it had already been put behind us. The media keeps going on about different scandals which are usually true.
It was almost time for dinner and Jessa had wanted to tell the family some important news.
"Well y'all, Ben and I had wanted to have more children. Well, we have been able to adopt a child from Indonesia. We are pretty sure it is a boy. He has just turned 5. Things may change but it is almost 100 percent certain that he will be the one who we adopt." Jessa says. Quite a few of the kids faces light up, the rest seemed somewhat confused. "Well, I know it is going to be very different compared to what we have previously experienced." Jessa says, which I think that just confused them even more. "I'll explain more when the time comes." She finished.
"Congratulations!" I say immediately. I truly was excited for them both. Everyone else was very excited too.
"Woah woah woah. There's also one more announcement." Ben says.
