I sucked in a breath mentally preparing myself to knock on the door. Not even a second later the door opened and a girl was standing there.
"Are you Kai?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Well okay. I was expecting a hello or hi but I guess I'm not getting one.
"Yes." I nodded. She pushed the door opened more and motioned for me to come inside.
I shut the door behind me after her and was about to take off my shoes when she stopped me. "We only take off our shoes at the door when they're dirty."
I nodded and started following her. We? What does she mean by that? Maybe she's already making rules for us. Yeah, hopefully. We walked down a hallway and stopped in front of the second to last door.
"This is your room. All of the rooms are the same size. They all have a connected bathroom. Since your guys' parents already shipped your things here we sat them up in your rooms. Hopefully that's okay with you. Some of the girls were complaining that the boxes were a fire hazard. Archie already moved the room around and picked the side she wanted. "She stopped for a minutes to ponder. "Yep I think that's everything. We are going to order pizza in a few hours so be ready." She flashed me a smile and walked into the room beside us.
So I guess I have a roommate. No big deal. I just didn't know there would be more than us in the apartment.
Not even a minute later the door swung open and a tall girl was standing there. She looked about 5'7 and had short, curly black hair. "Hello! You must be Kai. Come in, I have something to ask you." She didn't give me a choice and pulled me into the room and seconds later pushed on the bed. Well she's very friendly. That's good. Hopefully she will be talkative too.
Her side of the room was decorated in fairy lights, a couple of posters with Halsey, Lana Del Rey, Troye Sivan, Panic! At the disco, My Chemical Romance, and Starset on them. The extra wall had a few strings attached to it and a few Polaroid pictures attached to them by clothes pins.
Archie sat down beside me making me look at her. "So I've always wanted to those picture colleges and since we are living with four other girls I thought it would be a good idea to do it. Is it okay if I do it?" She asked me while giving me puppy eyes.
Is she really asking me? It's her room too. And plus I wouldn't mind doing it, it sounds cool. "Okay," I said making her squeal and jump up to hug me. "But only if I can help."
She pulled back and smiled. "Yay! I can't believe I am actually able to do this. My parents wouldn't let me and- wait we should take our first picture together!" She reached over and grabbed her Polaroid camera. She turned it around and seconds later the flash went off and the picture started processing.
"Wait I wasn't ready!" I said standing up. There is no way in hell I am letting her put up an ugly ass picture of me. If she wants one then she can just look at me every morning. I'm a mess.
Archie shrugged her shoulders and started blowing on the picture as she picked up a pen. She sat it down on her desk and started writing something on the back. I got up and looked over her shoulder to see what she was writing but she threw the pen down and clipped the picture on a clothes pin.
Man I looked ugly.

*"Archie?" I asked as I bent down to pick up my bag.
"Yeah?"
Setting down my bag to open the closet I asked, "Have you met the other girls yet?"
"Yeah." She answered. "They're pretty nice."
