"Wait, so you actually spent the night at her house?" Sailor gasped at me.
I nodded. "That's what I said."
"Did you guys have sex?"
I looked at her wide eyed. "No! What the hell, Sailor."
She shrugged. "There's no harm in asking."
"Oh." I nodded and laid my head down on the desk. I couldn't help but think of last night. Rowan asked if we could get to know each other and I had said yes. I felt so giddy and happy. We watched a few more movies before falling asleep. She ended up carrying me to bed, much to my surprise.
In the morning she made us breakfast and drove us to school. The entire way she held my hand. As we walked in the school hand in hand. A few girls gave us dirty looks but I brushed it off and went to class. Rowan went to get her books while I sat in the class chatting with Sailor. Apparently rumors spread fast here, so she immediately knew who I walked in with and why. Mainly because I texted her about it when I was waiting for Rowan yesterday.
"Hey." A soft voice said from in front of me. I looked up to see Kayla.
"Oh hi." I shortly replied with a smile.
"So I saw you were holding hands with Rowan." She sourly said.
I nodded. "Yes, what about that?"
She rolled her eyes. "Did my note mean nothing to you?"
"The one from the other day?"
"Uh, yes?"
"Oh, yeah, that one. I just thought it was a compliment."
"It was, but it also meant that I like you."
"I didn't know, I'm sorry."
She rolled her eyes. "Wow, first you cheat on me and now you suck at apologies?"
"We weren't dating though."
"Then what were we?"
"Acquaintances?"
"What's going on here?" Rowan stood next to Kayla with a glare directed at her.
