Mario POV

"Daddy! Papá!" I heard Loriana scream. What the hell?

I jumped up from my desk and ran out of the office. I followed her screams to the foyer where she was standing in front of a box with fear all over her face. I walked up to the box and was shocked to see a note and a bloody knife.

"Omg. What are we going to do?" Lori started to freak out.

"Baby girl, I need you to calm down for me. Everything is going to be fine. Ok?" I said as I closed up the box and picked it up.

"Dad you can't just act like as if that wasn't just a knife in that box!" She yelled.

"Loriana Ramirez. I said that everything is going to be ok and I meant that. This right here starts between you and me. Don't tell your mom it brother. Alright?" I told her. Last thing I need is Jasmine acting like as if the world is going to end.

Lori jogged upstairs and I went back into my office. I quickly wrapped up my meeting and let them out. I groaned and looked at the box on the floor. I swear it's like as if these people won't let me breath. People really want me to keep on coming out of character. Fuck around and make me start doing hits again.

Who could it be now. If it's one of DeMarcus's little devil offspring, I swear to god I'm just gonna put all of them in the dirt because I'm sick and tired.

"Hey dad!"

"Hey Uncle!

"Hey Uncle!"

I looked up from my phone as Andre, JaKory, and Chris ran through the hallway. It's summer vacation so I don't know why they ain't outside minding their business.

Nasir started to squirm around on my chest and spat out his pacifier before continuing his nap. Guy has been sick for the past couple of days so all he's been doing is sleeping really. It's really bothering me cause he's barely eating and on a normal day he's a fatty. I always get bothered when one of my kids are sick. Makes me sick to my stomach honestly.

I heard the front door open then close and then Christy came into view.

"Where'd you go Christy? Didn't even know you went out." I said, stopping her in her tracks.

"I went out with friends. " She Said then folded her arms across her chest.

"I ain't got a problem with that but next time tell me that you're leaving the house and who you're going to be with." I said. She scoffed and continued walking.

Let it go Mario. Let it go Mario. Beat that ass next time. Next time.

I told myself. I usually would have snapped but seeing as I just killed her mother, I'll let her slide this one time. I really don't understand what's wrong with these kids these days. Chris just came back from his grandparents house, Lori had a boyfriend, JaKory still got a bad ass attitude that I'm gonna beat out of him one of these days, and Christy is just stuck on the idea of her being grown.

"Dad, Avery said he's gonna come pick me up and we're gonna go shopping for our dorm rooms. Can I get some money please?" Lori asked, walking into the family eating a bag of chips.

"How much?" I asked.

"I'm not sure actually. A couple thousand maybe." She shrugged. I groaned and rolled my eyes.

"Just use the credit card I got you and get whatever you want. I'll pay it off tomorrow." I told her. I swear kids will run you broker than broke.

After my kids obtain their masters degree, their getting cut off. No if, ands, or buts about that. I'm not about to fund their life forever.
