Summer POV

I quietly walked into my apartment and shut the door carefully behind me. I took off my sneakers and placed them by the door before proceeding to my room. Right when I was about to open my bedroom door, it flew open revealing a shirtless and tired looking Tyrone. He moved aside for me to enter the room and once I entered he shut the door.

"Where you been?" He asked, lowly, rubbing his eyes.

"Working. Were you sleeping?" I asked as I placed my bag in the closet.

"I was dozing off then I heard the door. Since when did you have a job and why you coming home at damn near 3:00 am?" He asked, staring me up and down.

"Since a week ago. It's just something I picked up on the side." I shrugged.

"Where?" He asked again. I continued to avoid his question as I moved around the room, stripping out of my clothes.

When I walked past him, he grabbed my arm, pulling me to him and stopping me from what I was doing.

"You stripping Summer?" He asked sounding disgusted.

"Why you asking that?"

"Cause you're saying you somehow have a job now and you're getting home at 3 in the morning, carrying a duffle bag. Correct me if I got your new occupation wrong." He said, tilting his head to the side.

I stayed quiet, not being able to correct him. T started to notice that I wasn't going to say something and he took a step away from you.

"You dead ass serious right now? Summer, please tell me you're joking." He chuckled sounding the least bit amused.

"Hear me out Tyr-"

"Fuck that girl! You seriously gonna tell me you're stripping now? You don't have a reason to be stripping and you know this!" Tyrone yelled.

"Yes I do! We're struggling and I can't just sit around and wait for money to appear!" I yelled.

"I got us Summer! I'm trying my best and it's.my responsibility to take care of our family. I don't want you stripping baby, even if that means I have to go and be working overtime at the community center. I'm just asking for you to have respect for me, yourself, and this marriage by quitting what you're now calling a job." He said.

I sighed and wiped some tears that fell from my eyes. I was just looking for the easiest way out and I wanted to support my family somehow. I definitely didn't think this whole thing through and didn't put into consideration how T would feel about it.

"Alright, I'll quit, but I still feel like I need to help in someway. I can see how stressed you are everyday and it's killing me that I'm not helping you." I said. He walked up to me and pulled me into a hug.

"You good girl. It's my responsibility to take care of y'all and I'm going to do just that. I'm done with drug dealing and I'm gonna pick up more hours at your brothers community center. Our situation right now is only temporary. God wouldn't give us something we couldn't handle." He said. I nodded and rubbed the back of my neck.

"And if you ever do some dumb shit like stripping again, I'll beat your ass." He threatened then walked away.

Loriana POV

"What you doing?" Rodney asked me through the phone as we're on FaceTime.

"Making my bed." I got out as I tried to straighten out the sheets. This is harder than it sounds because my bed is so damn big.

"Be careful with my baby guh." He said. I looked at him then rolled my eyes.

"I can make a bed and not harm my child." I sassed then continued with making my bed.
