Chapter 9 - My Father.

After that 'incident' we walked in her house and I started talking about the maid cafe and asked if there are any jobs available.

"Hmm," Kawaii-Chan started, "Kawaii-Chan doesn't think we need any more employees but Kawaii-Chan will ask the boss."

"Thank you Kawaii-Chan," I smiled softly at her.

"But! You need to help Kawaii-Chan get closer to Reese-Senpai."

I sighed, "Fine Kawaii-Chan, I'll help you with Reese."

She squeals with excitement and hugs me tightly, "Yay! Kawaii-Chan is so happy!"

She finally releases me so I can breathe, "Okay, I guess I'll go now."

I start to head to the door but she grasps my hand before I could open it, "Come over tomorrow to help Kawaii-Chan with Reese-Senpai! Please!"

Knowing that Kawaii-Chan would not take no for an answer I said okay.

"Thank you so much (Y/n)-Senpai!"

I smile at her again, "No problem."

Recently Zane and I have been talking a lot and getting to know each other. I considered him a really good friend, even if he is annoying at times. We laughed and joked with each other when he was done spending time with Aphmau. I enjoyed spending time with him like that, it was relaxing.

"Tell me about your family, you know, in the past," I said, looking at Zane who was sitting on my (F/C) bed sheets.

Zane chuckled, making my heart skip a beat for some odd reason, "Well I really thought my brothers were incredibly annoying and I still do."

I laugh, "That's right, I haven't met your brothers yet."

"It's not that hard, one lives across the street."

"Really?" I questioned.

"Yeah. Anyways, I was always stubborn, wanting to be part of the Shadow Knights."

"Did you get in?"

"They didn't like me, but that didn't stop me from trying."

I snicker, "That sounds like you."

He ignores my comment, "Nothing much really happened other than knowing Aphmau since we were kids."

"Really? I did too... until we kind of separated."

"Now, what about your family?" Zane asked, turning back the question.

"Hmm," I wondered, "Where do I start?"

"Maybe your parents, like your dad," he said absentmindedly before taking it back, his eyes filled with guilt, "No, I was just trying to start the conversation, you don't have to-"

"No," I cut him off, "I'll talk about it, it will be at least one thing taken off my chest." I take a deep breath before I start explaining, "I was little, maybe like 5 or 6, and I came back from shopping with my mother. Seeing my dad's car in the driveway excited me because he would take long business trips all the time. Because I was so excited, I scurried to my parents' bedroom and what I saw," I shivered, remembering like it was yesterday, "was my dad in bed but  with another woman that was not my mother." Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Zane freeze and tense up. I continued, "Of course I screamed and woke my dad and the woman up. My mother ran to me and looked in with a horrid expression on her face. My dad was furious and started to pack up and leave with the woman as he yelled at my mother. I tried to hold him back, telling him this was a huge mistake." I sighed, "He switched it around, though, telling me that I was the mistake and none of that would have happened if I was born. He finally left afterward and I never saw him since."

"Where were your brothers during all of this," Zane asked. I looked up to see his eyes wide with shock.

I give him a sympathetic smile, "They were staying with relatives for the day."

"Then how do they know?"

"My dad left, my mom couldn't exactly hide it, so she decided just to tell the truth." I felt like a lot of worry and grief was lifted off my chest from telling him all of this. He was the first one I told about this other than my brothers.

"That makes sense."

I hear the door open abruptly, making me jump. I look up to see Aphmau and a guy with bleach blond hair in my room.

"Found him!" Aphmau exclaimed.

"Aphmau what are you doing in here?" I asked.

"Garroth was trying to find Zane."

I freeze, realizing that they could have been outside the door when I explained the whole situation with my dad. "You didn't hear anything, did you?"

"Hear what?"

"Nothing!"

Aphmau was about to saw something when Zane interrupted her, "Why are you here Garroth?"

"Mom wanted us all to get together and go to her house."

"Oh, your Zane's brother?" I questioned.

"Yeah, one of them. I live across the street," He responded.

I smile and put out my hand, "I'm Aphmau's new roommate, (Y/n)."

He takes my hand and shakes it, returning the smile, "I'm Garroth, Zane's older brother."

I take back my hand and look at Zane who looked annoyed. "Fine, whatever, let's go," he said as he left the house with his brother.

It took me forever to plan this chapter out and finally write it, sorry if it's short. (We're almost at 3k reads and I'm so happy that I can enjoy writing this while you can enjoy reading this :D)
