Chapter 17 - I Think I Like Zane

"Of course!" I beamed.

Lucinda laughed and walked next to me, patting my shoulder, "Okay but we have to act like nothing happened. We didn't hear any screaming or anything. The girls will probably catch on but they'll most likely ask later too."

"Okay, so do we go now?"

"Yeah, we can just say that we were taking a nap or something. Just try and act just woke up."

"All right, will do," I replied, following her out of  the room. I put on my best tired look and yawned as I walked down the stairs. I stumbled a bit on purpose to make it seem like I wasn't awake quite yet. I looked up to see that everyone was huddled up in one area of the living room, the guys looked like they just saw a murderer (heh). The girls looked terrified too but not as much as the guys.

"What are you guys doing?" Lucinda asked, plopping onto the couch. I stood right next to her swaying a bit to try and act like I'm trying to wake myself up.

They turned around slowly, their eyes wider than boulders. All of the colors drained from their face once again. "H-How are you still alive?!" Garroth screamed, backing into the wall behind him.

"What do you mean? I was just upstairs taking a nap,"  I responded while rubbing my eyes.

"T-Then what were you doing Lucinda?!" Garroth questioned.

"I was also taking a nap," She replied. Lucinda closed her eyes and cuddled up on the couch, looking like she wanted to go back to sleep.

"You were taking a nap together?" Laurence asked, a slight pink tint shown on his cheeks

"Well, I was planning to show (Y/N) some of the cool non-wifi required games on my phone but she fell asleep pretty quickly. Looking at her sleeping got me tired and it made me feel like I should take a nap too," Lucinda responded.

"I'm so confused," Aaron stated the obvious. The girls also looked confused but Aphmau began to understand what we were doing almost immediately.

"Weren't you in the kitchen?" Zane asked me, trying to keep his voice from shaking. I furrowed my eyebrows, looking puzzled. I tried my best not to spill the beans and say it was a prank.

"I was taking a nap," I told him, "Why would I be in the kitchen?"

"It's obvious that it's just a prank," Travis laughed, "They're just acting."

I turned to look at him, "What do you mean? I'm not acting, I was taking a nap. You're confusing me."

"W-Wait you're being serious?" Travis stuttered.

"Why would I lie?" I asked him. I was surprised that this was actually working. The reason being, I'm not great at acting, if I was, I wouldn't be here. I would be somewhere like Hollywood trying to audition to get to act in some shows or movies.

They all stared confusingly at us, many of the girls were clinging to each other, their eyes wide. I wasn't sure if they were actually acting or not. "Well," Lucinda spoke, "I'm going to go back to my room and play some games," She turned to me, "Are you coming (Y/N)"

"Of course,"  I replied, "There's nothing better than playing Monopoly or Jenga.

She smiled and got up off of the couch. Lucinda turned around to everyone else, "If you guys would like, you can join in whenever you would like."

"Actually, I am going to sleep," Aaron responded. He didn't look like he was scared. He probably figured it out already, curse his intelligence!

I followed Lucinda up into her room, hoping that Aaron wouldn't spoil anything if he actually knew it was just a prank. It's actually fun being the one scaring people for once, not being the one who is scared by other people.
