Chapter 27 - Dating

- (Y/N) POV -

"Thanks!" I called out to Peyton and Lucas, the people who drove me home.

"No problem!" Peyton shot me a grin and reached over to nudge Lucas who was in the driver's seat, "Lucas should pay more attention and spend more time with family. I didn't even know he had a sister until now."

I returned the smile, "He also has 7 other brothers if he didn't tell you that."

"Seven?!" She squeaked, her eyes wide as she gripped onto Lucas' arm. I could tell Lucas was getting a bit annoyed when he shot me a glare. Peyton quickly looked over at Lucas and shouted, "Why didn't you tell me that you had 7 other brothers?"

"Well, I was waiting until the time was right to tell you about my family because I knew that you would want to know everything," Lucas responded, trying his best to smile at her.

"Well I better be going," I said as I opened the front door behind me, "I wouldn't want to hold you two up."

Peyton looked back and smiled, "Don't worry about it. And don't forget that number I gave you! If you need anything just call."

"Thank you," I replied before waving and shutting the door. When the door closed, I rushed to the kitchen, knowing that Aphmau would get here any moment. I knew that if Zane came back to her, she would know what's up and try her best to fix it. But right now, I was not in the mood.

I grabbed a couple of (Favorite Drink) and (Favorite Snack) before bolting up the stairs and into my room. I wasted no time to drop everything on my bed and lock the door.

- Aphmau's POV -

I convinced Zane to confess to (Y/N) in person, the only problem was, he was too frightened to do it at this moment. He kept on claiming that he wasn't scared to confess, he just didn't think it was the right time. But, from just one look you could tell that he just didn't have the guts to do it. He was slightly shaking and jittery, mumbling words under his breath, probably planning out what to say to her. I already dropped everyone else off so now it was just me, Zane, and Katelyn in the car.

"Stop being such a scaredy cat Zane," Katelyn laughed, "You already know that she likes you back, there's no way she would say no."

"Yeah, but what if she was just kidding? What if she was just playing a prank on me?" Zane asked, second guessing his decision on confessing to her now.

"If she was just kidding then why would she make such a big deal about it, run away, and catch a ride back home?" Katelyn retorted, crossing her arms. "She's probably really scared too, you know? From the way you acted, she probably thinks you're going to reject her."

"Aphmau already told me that!" Zane yelled, pulling on his hair, "And I already said that I didn't reject her! I was just frozen and didn't know what to do!"

"You'll probably have to explain that to her," Katelyn sighed.

"I know! Be quiet! I'm trying to focus on what to say!" Zane bit back.

"Well, you don't have much time at all, we're here," I said while I turned into the driveway.

- (Y/N) POV -

I paced outside of my room in the hallway, thinking of what to do. I already decided on what I will do if Aphmau and Katelyn would come home alone. I would just sit down with them and talk about it, maybe get some opinions on what they think I should do.  But, if they came back with Zane or anyone else, I have no clue what to do. Lock myself in my room ad wait until they leave? Probably.
