I woke at 3:47 and much like New York the streets were still heavy with traffic. Well, so much for sleeping in, but I can have some peace and quite. I went to the bathroom and washed my face of sweat from the dream I just had. Since everyone was sleeping soundly I decided to look around and get a drink from the kitchen.
Everything was so elegant. In the dinning room sat an expensive, not to mention delicate, looking tea set. There were a few paintings on the wall that could be considered abstract.
I opened the fridge in the kitchen and took out a bottle of water. The cool liquid flowed down my dry throat. I roamed into the living room. The TV was big, but not as big as Taylor's. A remote sat on the coffee table. I thought about turning it on, but I didn't want to wake the others.
I heard foot steps and tensed.
"Hey, what are you doing up? It's the middle of the night." Austin said walking into the living room.
"Well, what are you doing up? And it's actually 4:00 in the morning."
"I was going to the bathroom and noticed your door was opened. I checked and you weren't in there."
"So you went to creep on me?" I arched an eye brow at him.
"No, nothing like that. I was just checking. Are you, like, okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
"How about we go back to bed?" He asked and slung an arm over my shoulder and guided me back down the hall and to my room. I sighed as I sat down on the bed.
"I'll see you when the sun is actually up." He said and closed the door softly.
I wasn't going to fall back asleep, that I knew for sure. So, I found myself thinking about my up coming mission. I was confused as to why I was stealing something from an allied agency, but I'm not supposed to ask questions. Then, I found myself pondering why I was chosen to complete the mission rather than one of the other agents who are not currently assigned to a mission.
Perhaps, and I don't mean to brag, it's because I'm one of the stealthiest agents. I'm also a "kid" to some. Maybe they thought they would have mercy on a child. What are they going to do? Throw me in juvie? That is, of course, until they see my badge.
I just hope Taylor doesn't over react about it. Maybe I won't tell her until after her second show in Tokyo. Then, it will catch her off guard when they take me away from her at the airport. I'll have to tell her tomorrow night. That way she'll have a good first show tonight and the whole day tomorrow to get used the the idea.I decided to wait in my room until I heard people start moving around. My door creaked open and Taylor's head poked through the door.
"Oh, you're awake." She said opening the door the rest of the way and coming in.
"Yeah, it's the big day!" I said and she smiled.
"It's going to me awesome!" She agreed.
"We ordered a breakfast cart and it should be here soon. How early did you get up?"
"I got up at 4:00." I said.
"Why so early? I told you that you could sleep in."
"I'm just used to it." I shrugged.
"Lets go in the dinning room." She said.
I got up and followed her to the dinning room where her parents were setting plates on the table from the breakfast cart. The breakfast was very American. I'm sure they had a lot of guest from America though.
"Good morning, miss Alex!" Andrea said cheerfully.
"Good morning, ma'am."
"Oh, don't go calling me that! It makes me feel old." She laughed.
"Sorry, Andrea." I smiled lightly.
"Is Austin up?" Taylor asked.
"No, I think he's still asleep." Scott answered.
"Well I'm hungry." Taylor said and started eating.
I laughed and sat down to start eating as well. Not even ten minutes later Austin came strolling in.
"Morning everyone." He said sitting down by his dad where his plate of food sat waiting for him.
Austin glanced across the table at me. "Good to see you when the sun's up, Alex." He said.
"What?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah, last night little miss thing was standing in the living room at 4:00."
"My god, hun, why so early?" Andrea said.
"I don't know. I guess I just wasn't tired."
"Don't worry I put her back to bed for you Taylor." He laughed.
"What were you doing up at 4:00."
"Duty called." He said.
"Alright, I think it's time to change the subject." Scott laughed.
"Yes please." Taylor said. When we arrived at the Tokyo dome hundreds of people were standing out side waiting. The driver dropped us off around the back entrance and people were waiting there too. Guards set barricades up to keep the crowd at bay. They screamed when Taylor stepped out of the car. Some were even yelling for her parents and brother.
Taylor waved as she walked in and even stopped for a few pictures. The people were not allowed inside yet. People were checking the stage one last times and the band was tuning and testing there interments.
They greeted us all warmly and Taylor took in everything around her with an expression of awe. She went over and was talking to her back up singer. They all looked like they were having a major freak out session. Taylor was bouncing on her toes and they were laughing.
Taylor went to hair and make up first. She told me I should come along and I sat and conversed with her and the stylist as she got her ready for the show.
"The fans are going to ask you questions and talk to you." She warned.
"That's okay."
"I just didn't want it to throw you off guard."
"I doubt that could throw me off guard considering what my job is." I joked.
"True." She nodded.
"Lets FaceTime Karlie." She said.
She got out her phone that was adorned with car stickers and scrolled through her contacts.
The phone rang until it connected.
"Taylor!" Karlie said excitedly.
"I'm getting ready for the show!" Taylor said.
"I can't wait to see pictures!"
"Look there's Alex." Taylor pointed the camera at me.
I waved at her and she waved excitedly.
"Hey girly! Are you excited to see Taylor's first show?"
"Oh yeah! She's going to do so great!"
"I bet so too."
"Aww, you guys." Taylor laughed.
"Were the fans all camped out?" Karlie asked.
"Yeah, I'd say there were about a couple hundred waiting out back and in the front."
"You're fans are so crazy! In a good way though!"
"I know right. I have meet and greets in an hour."
"The door will be opening soon!"
"Yeah, I have to go sound check one more time just to make sure everything is working right."
"It's going to be perfect, Taylor!" Karlie encouraged her friend.
"Thanks Karlie, I'm going to get off here and do my sound check. I have some eager fans waiting for me."
"Good luck! Bye Taylor! Bye Alex!"
"Bye!" We both called at once.
"Are you coming to watch sound check or do you just wanna chill until meet and greets?" Taylor asked and made her way to the door.
"I'll go with you incase anyone slips in when they aren't supposed to."
