When I begin through the door, the familiar cool air brushes my face, feeling less heavy compared to before. I grab my phone from my boot, since this frigging cat costume doesn't have pockets, and click it on to check the time. It's 1:30. I've been here since 11 and I feel like it's been long enough. I flashback to a couple hours back, remembering that Erich was the one who picked me and Toni up. So I'm pretty much stuck here without a ride...or a boyfriend. I glance up at Skylar, still planted from where I left her, dialing on her phone. My phone rings in my hand and she turns around.

"Oh I didn't hear you come out." She gives a small laugh and a smile. I praise myself for having this girl as my roommate instead of Toni. I'd surely be switching out by morning if Toni was.

I just met Skylar when the semester started but we've become pretty close. I begged her to come with me so I would have another sober loser to hang out with. She laughed at me but finally caved in. Erich and Toni don't like her. They say she's too prude.. So what does that make me? We have such similar personalities that I don't see why they would pick me over her, before at least. I shake the thoughts of them out of my head and focus on Skylar.

"You drove here, Sky?"

"No, Liam did."

Liam might as well be her only guy friend, but I shouldn't talk. I don't have many guy friends myself.

"Oh..he's picking you up?"

"No, you said..that Erich would drive us back to the dorm, remember?"

Shit. I completely forgot what I told her earlier. Were screwed if Liam's not able to pick us up. If not, we would probably wind up sleeping here & I don't think I want to know how that would end. Skylar wouldn't dare to sleep at a house with guys present.. Alright she may be a little prude.

"I forgot about that...well maybe we can go inside for now and see if anyone can give us a ride to campus?" I offer. She nods though I can practically read her mind knowing she will not get into a car with a drunk driver.. I'm not sure if I would either. Especially a drunk stranger. I barely know the people living in this frat house. I only came here because of Toni. I know her friend from Ireland lives here and then there was another guy she said she really didn't know named Harry. Maybe I can find one of them and see if they can find us an empty room or something to stay the night.

We head towards the door where the two different temperatures of air meet. Back to the hot room filled with sweaty, drunk partiers. I look around with Skylar by my side, trying to find one of the boys. I make sure to avoid any signs of the people who put the knife in my back. Right before we reach the kitchen, I look down and see the passed out Irish blonde. Niall. That was his name. I met him once before when he joined Toni and I for lunch once. He has an adorable face and a thick Irish accent. He looks so cute sleeping. My smile fades when I realize him sleeping means I have to look for the other guy who lives here.

I lead Skylar to the kitchen. I haven't drank a thing since I got here and my throat is dry. I grab a red solo cup and begin to let the sink water fill it. Its probably not the best idea but I just need something to drink. Skylar follows me and fills herself a glass as well. I put my empty cup on the counter and shift my feet to turn around. I move around fast and stop in my tracks when I spot a curly haired boy staring at me. I stay there frozen, staring back at him. His eyes saturated with an emerald green burn into mine as I forget what I am doing, until I feel Skylar's small hand shaking my shoulder repetitively to try to break my gaze. The boy looks down and smiles and then looks back up with a cheeky dimpled smile. It may be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
