Chapter 8: Revenge

'Is this what your love feels like, Father? If it is how it feels like, I don't want it, Father. I don't want it. Sorry, Marinette. My story ends here. See you in the eternal life. I will see you there and let's live happily ever after. I love you...'

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS, YOU DEVIL!"

"HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY DO THIS TO HIM?! HOW?"

"I didn't know...I thought it was you but it wasn't you...Even I don't know what happened..."

"At least...at least Adrien loved you...He does care about everyone. He cares about you and his friends. He thinks anymore than himself. He doesn't care if he gets hurt or get killed instead. He...he is a nice guy and you, YOU ARE JUST DEVIL WHO KILLED HIM! YOU SHOULD'VE KILLED ME NOT HIM...killed me not him..."

As she says that, she cries even more harder and couldn't stop crying. Gabriel was looking at his son's dead body and started to cry. When Marinette heard the sob, her eyes were looking at him furiously and she was standing up with Adrien's body in her hand. 

"You don't have the right to cry at him. You are the actual one who killed him. If you are trying to make me pity you, it won't work because from now this day, I'm heartless."

"What are you saying?"

"None of your business. I'm taking Adrien to hospital and save him. If he doesn't come back to life, you are going to die with him. Understood?"

When she finished her sentence, Gabriel was in frightened face on his face and he was scared. He was tied up and Marinette didn't let him go. As she glares at him, she walks away with Adrien's body to the hospital. Marinette was crying. Behind her brave face, she was weak and hurt. She was sad.

'Adrien, please promise me you will come back to life...Please.'

After one hour...

"Are you serious? He is alive?"

"Yes. The doctor said that what he only needs to do is just rest here and after, he can rest at his place. That's all he needs to do after the big surgery. You don't need to worry, okay?"

"Yes. Thank you. Thank you so much."

"But one thing. The patient will wake up with high possibility of not remembering someone and especially of you. He will not likely remember the important things and people when he wakes up. Because he is still in coma. We still have to see the progress if he will remember or not. Okay?"

After the doctor and the nurse left, Marinette was so relieved and she was not scared anymore. She sat down on a chair next to him and she was looking at Adrien sleeping. She was not thinking about revenge, she was only thinking about Adrien's safety and let him be protected by her. 

"I'm so happy to hear that you are alive, Adrien. I thought...I thought you were dead and now you will not be next to me anymore. Not in my life anymore. You know, it's silly to say this but I...I love you, Adrien. You are the only one for me. Now please... *sob* wake up...You know I want to see your smile. You know that right? They said that you will not likely remember me or anyone who is important to you before you fell into coma. I will not wish that you will be waking up not remembering me, okay? Now wake up! Wake up, you stupid cat!"

She was crying. She was hurt. She was afraid. Afraid of him that he might not wake up. She was worried. She was dying inside. As she sing this song, she was being comfortable.

"Miraculous...Simply the best...Up to the test...When things go wrong...Miraculous...The luckiest...The power of love...Always so strong..."

She fell on top of Adrien lying down on the bed. She was crying much more when she was singing this song and she was wising that he would wake up soon. But suddenly..

"...Oh no you will never know. My love can only grow. And when I see her smile...That's when she becomes..."

"Adrien..."

She was smiling. When she saw Adrien's face smiling and looking towards her, she was happy. Adrien was looking down to her, just to see her smile from her face. She was not smiling but crying. She was happy but sad. Everything was mixed for Marinette and Adrien was remembering her and everything unexpectedly. 

"How did you remember me? I thought you would wake up with a high possibility of not remembering anything. But how...?"

"I don't know either. I knew I was going to wake up with not remembering anyone but the song, that you sang right now, made me remember everything, Marinette. Everything..."

"Oh, Adrien..."

"You should know that, I will not die easily in some dirty hands. Gabriel is not my father now. I won't have any family but I want only you, me, Plagg, and Tikki living together."

"I love the sound of that, Adrien. We will be together forever until death do us apart."

"Marinette.."

"Now, Adrien, I need to go to save everyone's life. Even though I'm not yet free from the akuma anymore. You know Ladybug's instinct. *wink*"

"I will go with you, I'm scared you will be dead."

"No, Adrien...I need to alone. I'm the one who caused this. And I need to solve this out with everyone in Paris because...I...I was the one who hurt them...And besides, you are hurt and also the hospital says that you should rest or else it's going to get worse. Okay? Please, rest."

Adrien hesitated for a moment but he could her worries inside of her eye and he nods and gave a goodbye kiss to Marinette who is transforming and they were saying goodbye to each other. 

'I shall protect Adrien...I can't lose him again...I need to find Hawkmoth and kill him immediately. I'm sorry, Adrien...But I need to kill your father to save Paris. I hope you understand me...'

~Meanwhile...~

Hawkmoth was still tied and he was trying to get out but he failed to. But the only thing he succeeded was to transform into Hawkmoth and other people was looking at him, terrified. He was embarassed and he was looking for Ladybug.

"Where the hell is she? She just left me without untying me. Dammit. I hate her."

When Marinette came closer to her, Hawkmoth was smiling evilly and he was waiting for her to un-tie him from the pole he was tied to.

"There you are, young lady. Now let me down or else I will remove your powers."

"It's already removed and no. I won't let you down."

"Okay then. But...how is...Adrien?"

"He is fine. He says that he doesn't want a family but he wants a family with me but not you. He hates you now. He said he will kill you but I'm going to kill you again without telling Adrien. I bet he is okay with it. You know what? I will call him right now."

She was dialing Adrien who was in the hospital and he answered.

"Hello? Adrien? Oh yeah, um, can I kill your father?"

"Okay, thank you Adrien! See you!"

"So what did he say?"

When Marinette put her phone down, she was laughing evilly and now she was about to attack Hawkmoth.

"He said yes. Time for revenge, Hawkmoth."

Adrien is back with his "second life" and now he is back in the hospital bed and he is resting. Adrien came approvement to Marinette to kill his father, Gabriel Agreste which is Hawkmoth and he was worried about Marinette about this and he wasn't so sure about Marinette doing this. She was prepared and it was time for revenge. Will Marinette complete her "mission"? Or will she be hurt and be killed and be attacked?
