Chapter 21: The Fateful Day

Previously on Miss Fortune...

"Marinette..."

And the future was decided already without even knowing. The love couldn't be connected. The family couldn't be connected. And the future that he wanted, wasn't connected. He thought to himself.

'The future is very harsh. Why these kinds of things happens to me...I wish I was the future so that I can take my decisions right.'

Now that Marinette, his family, and his friends are gone by his side, he had no one to be with or to talk to. While Marinette was getting ready for a transfer. She was crying looking at a picture of Adrien that was taken together with her. She knew that she wouldn't do such things to Adrien but that was the only option she said. Marinette also thought the same thing like Adrien. She wished to be the future so that she can change it any time she wants. She thought the future was so harsh.

2 years later...

Marinette had moved to another state, where no one would say she was a super hero. Tikki moved along with her. Hawkmoth was gone so no one would be in trouble because now Paris is free from super hero and the villains. Marinette's family still owned a bakery like they did in Paris. Whenever she saw news in Paris, the major news was that Ladybug and Chat Noir was rumored to be retired and disappear without a trace. 

"Ugh. I'm tired of that news. Everytime whenever I turned on the news, it's always about us." says Marinette throwing the phone to the couch.

When she sat down the couch, she saw the picture of Chat Noir and her. She grabbed her phone and stared at Chat Noir's picture. She now realized that he was always looking at her with everything he can bring out.

"Marinette, are you okay?" says Tikki, out of her bag.

"Yeah. It's just that no one understands why and they always want to have someone to protect them. It's annoying!" says Marinette as she starts to cry.

"Marinette?"

"I just don't want to see Chat Noir or Adrien anymore. I-I want to forget him and everything. I want to live my own life as a normal girl. But it looks like Adrien and Paris is not letting me forget about my past and live my own."

"Marinette, you know. You could've left me in Paris if you wanted to forget everything. But you didn't, why?"

"Huh? Why are you saying that, Tikki?"

"Because if you really wanted a normal girl life, you could've left there and lived your own life."

"Because you're my friend, Tikki. You are always there for me and support me. So I couldn't just leave you there and leave without you. You're my friend."

"Marinette. Thanks for not leaving me. If you did I would just been trapped in the miraculous and not wander around. You are the best miraculous holder I have seen. Thanks."

As Marinette heard those words, she was happy because she wanted support at a hard time like this. She hugged Tikki and she hugged her back.

"Thanks Tikki, for saying that to me. I needed that."

After Marinette had to go delivery for the cake that someone has ordered. She hated chores as usual, but there was nothing to do else if she didn't go out of her house. 

"I hate chores and I also hate deliveries."

"You can do this, Marinette!"

"Thanks Tikki."
