Chapter 20: The Future

Previously on Miss Fortune...

"Master Fu!" as they finds Master Fu lying on the floor, they goes running to him.

"Are you okay? Master Fu! Master F-"

When Marinette turned Master Fu's unconscious body, Marinette was shocked because that body wasn't Master Fu. It was Adrien's mom. As Adrien looks at her, he was full of tears.

"M-Mom?"

"M-Mom?" 

"How is she here? And why is she here?" asks Chloe.

"I thought your mom ran away, bro." said Nino.

"Yeah, I-I thought so too... But why...why is she here? WHY?!"

"Adrien, calm down. It's not like it was planned."

"I CAN'T TAKE MY FATHER ANYMORE! I'M GOING TO KILL HIM TWICE!" Adrien says as he runs towards the exit.

"Adrien!" Marinette goes running to catch him up but he was too fast. 

"What is he going to do?!" asks Chloe.

"He is going to kill Gabriel twice. HE IS GOING TO KILL HIM!" screams Alya.

"We need to stop him or else he will be really unstoppable!" says Marinette.

As they gets the demands from Marinette, they transforms back to superhero form. 

"Let's go! We need to stop him!"

As they runs towards the exit, they looks at Adrien who is standing right in front of Gabriel who is already dead. He was transforming to Chat Noir. He silently called for cataclysm and his power was loaded. It was his last chance to kill him. He had tears in his eyes, clenching his both fists. He closed his eyes as his tears goes down his cheek. As Queen Bee and Volpina goes walking, Ladybug stops them.

"Why...WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT MOM WAS HERE!" says Adrien as he cries.

"Adrien..." whispers Ladybug.

"Y-You should've told me that she was here...AND WHY IS SHE UNCONSCIOUS! I THOUGHT YOU WOULD PROTECT HER AND LOVE HER BUT YOU PUT HER IN A SECRET BASE WHERE NOTHING IS IN THERE!" yells Adrien.

As he puts his head down, he raises his hand that has cataclysm on and he centers his power to the center of Gabriel's heart. 

"NOOOOOOO!" yells Ladybug.

Ladybug runs to protect Gabriel from killing twice. Ladybug blocks the front and stands in front of Gabriel laying down. As soon as he sees that, he stops immediately in front of her and almost hitting her with cataclysm.

"Marinette? Why are you..."

"Adrien, no. There is a reason why you can't kill someone twice. Especially a superhero." says Ladybug huffing.

"Why? But this man deserves to die twice!"

"There is this long legend about superheroes dying twice. If you kill someone twice, you will die with him or either you will be trapped in the person's soul forever. If you die twice, you will be alive for few months but you will die again in a few months because that's your fate." says Ladybug.

"That's just a stupid legend that you believe! Get out of my way, Marinette!"

"Adrien!" she screams out his name.

"You are overthinking this! I know this a stupid legend but you are going to be a criminal for me and for the others. And if you do kill him twice, I will be taking your miraculous and demand you to retire." says Ladybug with a serious face.
