Chapter 22: Me after you left

Previously on Miss Fortune...

"Hey, Marinette."

"A..."

"Long time no see, Marinette."

"A-Adrien...?"

As she completely turns to him, Adrien was there in front of her and she didn't say a thing.

'You know that snow can bring other people happiness and fate?'

After all what Tikki said, was true. It brought fate.

"Long time no see, Marinette."

"Adrien..."

"Such a nice day, right?"

As he looks at Marinette smiling, Marinette looks away and puts disappointed face on.

"Why are you here, Adrien. I thought you left somewhere else."

"Yeah, here is where I came. I left before you but I didn't know you were here."

"How did you I was here?"

"My mom. She told me that she treated an injury of a girl that tripped over."

"Your mom? But I never anyone like th-"

When she thought about it again, she remembered the blonde woman with green eyes.

"S-She is your mom?"

"Yeah. I live here with my mom. She was unconscious but after taking care of her, she woke up and as you can see, she is doing well."

"Good. Now please move. I need to go to school."

As Marinette passes by him. Adrien grabs her wrist and pulls her towards him.

"Marinette. I'm here. But why are you so cold to me. I know what I did. But please. Don't be cold to me."

Marinette tries to free herself from his hug but his was strong. 

"Let me go, Adrien. I need to go to school."

She tries to let go but she couldn't. As she gives up, she cries in Adrien's embrace. 

"Let me go...Why can't you just let me go..."

"Marinette. You don't know how much I had to go through when you left me. So please, I beg you, please stay with me for a moment."

Marinette was crying because she also couldn't deny the truth that she missed Adrien. She stayed with him and was kept on crying. 

She didn't go to school that day. She told her mom that she had visitor and wasn't feeling okay and so stayed home with Adrien in her room. While Marinette was in her bed showing her back to Adrien, Adrien lay down next to her and hugged her tightly.

"Marinette. Look at me."

"No. I don't want to look at you."

"Marinette, please."

"I said no."

"Then you leave me no choice."

As he forcefully make her turn around to look at him, Adrien kisses her in the lips and Marinette was surprised. But she was soon melted with the kiss. Adrien pulled away as soon as Marinette was out of breathe.

"Marinette. Hear me out. I will tell you what happened after you left me. And you will know how much I tried to get back to you."

Marinette turned around to him and hear him out. Marinette's eyes were red due to her long crying. Adrien was looking at her eyes that was crying because of him.
