Chapter 14: Miraculous

Previously on Miss Fortune...

"Marinette, my love for you is strong. You gave me powers with your love and that's why I could have defeated him. I couldn't have defeated him if I thought him as my father. So I'm so thankful for that, Marinette. Thanks for being there for me when I was fighting alone."

"Just remember. We are bonded by love and friendship. But our team is so strong with love. My love for you will be consistent."

"I love you, Marinette. I will love you forever."

"Me too. Adrien."

When the fight with Hawkmoth was over, Marinette and Adrien took the miraculous of butterfly miraculous and the peacock miraculous. They were heading over to Master Fu's place to give them back. 

"Ladybug, Chat Noir, why are you here?" as the door opens.

"Master Fu, I think this belongs to you." Adrien says as he hands the butterfly and the peacock miraculouses.

"Oh! The peacock and the butterfly miraculouses! I can't believe this! How did you get this?"

"Actually, we found out the base where Hawkmoth stays when I was akumatized. So when all the spots were off from my earrings, I turned back to normal, to Ladybug and went to the base where Hawkmoth is. I still remembered. And so, me and Adrien went and beat him. It was a harsh battle and we were both injured and almost dead, but we stood up together with bond of love and friendship. So after, we went and got his miraculous, the butterfly, and the peacock miraculous which Mrs. Agreste had. So we came here to give you back what belongs to you." said Marinette as she holds Adrien's hand.

"Thank you, Ladybug. Thank you, Chat Noir. You did a great job."

"No, of course not. We were not intend to do that but now what I worry is if we are going to have superheroes from now on. Because we don't have super villain anymore." as she tears up.

"We don't want to be remained heroes forever but it's very hard to say goodbye to Tikki and Plagg. They were our friends even though we had a hard time understanding the circumstances. Please, tell me we aren't saying goodbye..." 

As they looks at Master Fu, he couldn't say anything. It was actually true that it is hard to say goodbye. But, he had no choice but to tell Marinette and Adrien that they need to say goodbye to their little friends. 

"I'm sorry, Ladybug, Chat Noir. But you need to say goodbye to them. I know it is very hard. But I have no choice."

As Master Fu finishes talking, they were shocked and couldn't say a word. They had to return the miraculouses to him by this evening. At least they had time to say goodbye.

After an hour...

Marinette was looking down. After what she heard from Master Fu, it was much more harder for her. She had a friend that could make her a hero and she had a friend to talk about everything they do. They had each other. But now, she had to say goodbye to her.

"Marinette?" said Tikki.

"Yeah?" 

"I wonder a Paris without a super hero and a super villain."

"Me too, Tikki. It would be so hard for me. Since I was the super heroine, I would not have double life anymore. It was fun."

"Marinette, you were a very good super heroine. You are the most powerful heroine in the history. You were the best from I know. I don't know what the citizens think but I think you are the best in this world. I liked spending time with you, Marinette. You will be missed." Tikki says as she cries.

"Oh, Tikki..."

Marinette hugs Tikki warmly and she says goodbye to her as she disappears with the air. It was the same for Adrien. He said goodbye to Plagg and he disappears with the air like Tikki. They goes to Master Fu together and returns the Ladybug's miraculous and the Black Cat's miraculous to him.

After 7 years...

The world knows now that there is no more super heroes and super villains. The citizens were back to their normal life without the super heroes and the super villains. Marinette and Adrien were back to their normal life without their super hero form and lives normally with their friends and families. They are still keeping secret of them being the super hero who saved them a multiple times. Chloe was sad that Ladybug was gone and she dropped out of the school after her father was out of the mayor's place after few years. Marinette and Adrien were dating and they were happy but many of the times, they missed Tikki and Plagg. 

Later that night...

"I wonder what is Tikki and Plagg doing." Marinette says as she sits down.

"Yeah, will they be thinking about us?" says Adrien.

"I don't think so. Plagg will be thinking about chesse all day, Adrien. Not you." as they laughs.

"So true."

"Do you miss being a super hero, Adrien?"

"Yeah, I miss being with Plagg. He was my only friend who knows my birthday."

"Hey! I know your birthday!"

"Oh yeah! You too! Sorry I forgot. I thought you only knew my schedule because you never told me you knew my birthday."

"Well, I was shy."

"Don't worry, Marinette. We are now dating so you shouldn't be shy with me or anyone else near us."

"Yeah, but I'm still scared. People in our work will think I did something to you that we are dating each other. I'm really scared."

As she put her head down, Adrien looks her with a frown but after he put up a smile and he puts his arms around her waist and kisses her. 

"Don't worry, I will do anything for you to any of these guys who's doing that to you. I will be protective."

"Yeah, thanks Adrien." as she smiles.

"And besides, you need to be strong. I like you when your personality was brave as Ladybug. I want to see that in you because I know you are hiding the bravery inside of you. So let it out. Everyone is going to think that you've changed and they won't do anything for you but they want to be brave just like you. But no one is going to know that you were Ladybug."

"Hey! Does that mean you like Ladybug than me?"

"N-No! I just mean that I-I like the personality of Ladybug. Nothing more than that. You were Ladybug so why are you so full of jealousy?"

"Because there were many Ladybugs in the ages so maybe you are thinking about another Ladybug other than me."

"Oh. Of course not, Marinette. You are the only Ladybug in my life."

"Really?"

As they look at each other's face, they holds each other tight with their hot drink with a blanket around them. They looks at the stars and think about their little friends, who were with them every single day. They are missing them so much already. It's been 7 years that those little friends were gone from them. But they didn't forget them from that day. Maybe Tikki and Plagg did but not them.

'The stars looks so miraculous today...Where are you now, Tikki?'

'I miss the miraculous, I miss Plagg... Where are you now, Plagg?'

'We miss you...'

After 7 years, they have been graduated high school and college. They were living without Tikki and Plagg. They were living as a normal citizen now and not being super heroes of Paris. There was no more super heroine or super villains in this world. But they want to be with their little friends. What would happen to them next? Will someone come back that Adrien and Marinette desired? Or Will they be living as a citizen?
