Epilogue

"Baby!" Stephen yelled.

I sighed and ran down the steps of our house.

Yeah we bought a house together.

I was in my bikini because we were having a labor day barbecue.

I went into the kitchen and saw Stephen standing in the kitchen looking confused.

I giggled.

"You're so helpless." I joked.

He mean mugged me. I blew him a kiss and towards the stove.

He stood behind me. His hands rested on my hips as I turned the rice.

"You know they're not be here for another hour." He said. "We just went to church yesterday!" I exclaimed.

He chuckled.

"And it's Monday. Now let's go." He exclaimed.

I elbowed him. He groaned.

"You're so abusive." He said.

I giggled and turned around. I gave him a kiss on his cheek.

He then pulled my face toward his and kissed my lips.

We pulled away.

"Now that's better." He said.

I giggled and continued cooking.

"You nasty!" I yelled.

Jacob laughed.

I rolled my eyes and went to sit down on the pool steps.

I get an arm go around my waist. I immediately knew it was Stephen.

"Let's go in the water." He mumbled. "We are." I said.

He sucked his teeth. I chuckled.

"Alright I ain't got weave." I said.

He chuckled.

"You don't need you got hang time for days baby." He said.

I laughed loudly.

We went into the water and swam around.

"Ayesha can you help me?" Chantel called.

I nodded and swam to the exit.

I got up and I heard Stephen whistle. I blushed.

"Aye that's my sister!" Jacob yelled.

I giggled and went inside to help Chantel.

"What do you need help with?" I asked. "Oh nothing." She said.

I sucked my teeth. She chuckled.

I walked back out and saw Jacob but not Stephen.

"Baby girl we haven't been together for long but it's felt like years." I heard Stephen say from behind me.

I turned around and looked at him completely confused.

"From when I first saw you I thought you were beautiful. When you opened up your mouth and I heard your attitude I thought to myself. Damn she's a feisty one." He continued.

I giggled.

"I knew from the day you started to train me I was gonna be in love." He said.

My heart was racing. Was he doing what I think he was doing?

He got on one knee.

"I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. I wanna argue. I wanna cuddle. I wanna do everything with you. Baby girl I wanna have a family with you." He said.

He took out a velvet box and opened it to the most beautiful ring.

My heart stopped and tears fell.

"Ayesha Alexander would you marry me?"

Tears fell freely.

"Yes! Yes! Yes Stephen!" I cried.

He smiled widely and he put the ring on my finger. I hugged him tightly and kissed him.

He chuckled into the kiss.

"We're getting married baby."
