Aftermath (Bucky Barnes)

Chapter Eight

Once we arrived at the restaurant Dani and I walked in and we were seated at a huge table, in a private area so we didn't have anyone asking for pictures

I pulled out a chair for Dani and she thanked me then sat down. Then I pulled out Sam's chair right beside her so I could sit on the other side of her. Sam then sat in my seat and I scoffed at him.

Dani giggled and I sat down right next to her. I leaned over to her and whispered "You know I still owe you a date."

She turned her head and leaned in closer to me, I felt my heart beat faster and faster. I thought she was going to hear it. She was just so beautiful I get flustered around her.

"So it's officially a date then."

"I mean, yes, if you want it to be." I stumbled out, I mean why was I even talking.

Peter said something and grabbed everyone's attention. I liked Peter as a friend, he's just a kid though, he doesn't deserve to go out on missions. He's about fifteen.

I talked to him sometimes, he reminded me of myself as a kid. I was a nerd on the down low, but a ladies man. I'm not sure he's a ladies man, probably just a nerd.

We all enjoyed ourselves and were actually having a great time. We caught up on everything, Dani seemed funnier than ever. "So Dani, Pepper told me about what you did." Tony called and everyone turned to Dani.

"Oh great, I think I know where this is going." She said and looked at me. "Don't judge, I've seen you all do worse." She said before Tony continued.

"Pepper walked in on Dani, half naked and asleep on the couch, using the empty food wrappers around her as blankets." He laughed and everyone burst out laughing, including Daniella.

I chuckled and she punched my arm. "Watch it Barnes, I have some blackmail I could use on you."

"Like what?" I teased and she smirked. Everyone turned to us and I raised a brow. "I went to Bucky's room to borrow a blanket, and he was in the shower, signing at the top of his lungs, the one and only, Katy Perry." She said and my cheeks turned red.

Everyone continued to laugh and Peter continued laughing even after every one stopped. "What's that Peter? I have a story about you." I said and he stopped laughing. "That's what I thought." I smiled and he did to.

I trained Peter in my free time, he was truly a great kid, he also reminded me of Steve. He did the right thing, looking out for the little guy.

"I have dirt on Natasha, care for me to share?" He asked and Natasha looked like she had seen a ghost. "You wouldn't dare." She smirked and he nodded.

"Natasha was on the roof trying to practice some fight move, but she slipped and started to fall off the building until I saved her." He said and Daniella started laughing her ass off while Natasha was as red as a tomato.

"Yeah, but you're always saving everyone from falling off a building, you've saved Daniella, Natasha, Steve is probably next." Wanda asked and Steve laughed.

"I bet Bucky is next he's too clumsy." He said and I shook my head no. "No it's going to be you." Dani smiled, defending me.

"Anyways..." Tony said, and I smiled. "Don't you even think about sharing anything embarrassing about me Barnes, remember I have blackmail on you." He said as Dani turned to me.

"He's just joking." I said and she didn't believe me, I knew it. "I think I know what for." She said and leaned to my ear. "Babe," she whispered and I cringed.

"I was hoping you had forgot about that." I said, everyone else around us was talking in their own little conversations

"I didn't forget Buck, I'm honestly surprised you would think that. But I liked it, I love the cute little nicknames you give me." She said and blushed, she was so adorable, but she gave me a huge boost of confidence.

"I should give you more nicknames then, huh doll?" I smiled and she nodded, and looked flushed. She took a sip of her drink and turned back to me.

"I'm going to talk to Sam for a bit, because I can't do this." She laughed and I nodded. I think I like her more and more each day, and I'm glad I'm finally acting on my feelings, this is definitely a start to something between us.

"I'll be waiting for you doll." I said and she put her hand on my metal arm, I grabbed it and she turned around and talked to Sam. I turned to Steve and he was blushing. "I just witnessed that whole thing between you two, I'm just going to stay quiet."

"You better stay quiet." I said and he and I continued on a conversation, I was still holding her hand, which was all I could think about. I know I'm only holding her hand with my metal one, so I can't really feel her hand, but from past experience I know it's soft.

Stark took care of the bill and of coarse, Daniella was the first person to thank him, like always. She was so sweet, I liked her so much.

She wasn't paying attention to me right now, she was talking with Sam and he was joking with her. She was laughing and I noticed how her hair fell over her shoulder. And how her eyes lit up when she laughed and the cute dimples she had.

"What are you staring at?" She asked me. "Um, what?" I asked, playing dumb. "Never mind." She sighed and we all grabbed our things and started to leave.

We walked outside and Dani shivered. "Cold?" I asked and she nodded. "Here." I said and handed her my jacket. She put it on and hugged me quickly.

"You're so sweet." She smiled and I did too, I might've forgotten to mention she's a little tipsy right now. We all had a few drinks but Steve and I don't get effected anymore.
