Chapter 5: Warm smile

I entered my history class and took my seat. My seat was at the back of the class near a window, in which put me to ease a lot. I looked out the window making the garden visible to me and so was a familiar person. Lysander was sitting on the bench as he was writing on a small notebook. A smile spread across my face. He such a gentlemen and very kind unlike Castiel on the other hand. Damn! He gets me so angry sometimes, I don't know what his problem is!

I kept looking out the window hoping I would calm down, which it did for a while until my eyes caught a familiar red head talking to Lysander. I don't know why he turned around but he did an we made eye contact. I frowned and turned my head away, I didn't want to see him right now.

Earlier this morning

I opened my eyes and beside me laid a sleeping Castiel. Trying not to wake him up, I got up from the couch and headed to his room.

"I'm sure he won't get mad if I left for a while. Plus he won't hear me." I said as I opened his window.

I was grateful that his window was so close to my balcony. I got out the window and jumped to the balcony.

"Good thing I have a bad habit of forgetting to lock doors." I said as I went inside my room.

It was 6:20 when I got out the shower, knowing Castiel I was sure he was still asleep. I hurried to get dressed and to dry my hair. I put my raven hair into a ponytail and headed back, this time I made sure my balcony door was locked.

I quietly closed his window and door making sure he didn't wake up, I checked on him but he was still asleep. Quietly, I headed into his kitchen to prepare some breakfast.

I finished cooking around 7, I cleaned my hands and headed to the living room. I was going to wake up Castiel but instead I froze where I stood. I dared not to get closer to him, I hoped that it wouldn't notice me but I hoped to late.

"Oh boy, you're quite the dog aren't you? Uh, don't need to be alarmed I'm a friend of your owner. Ha. Uh... Castiel  get up please." I said backing away slowly, trying not to anger the dog.

The dog stared at me ad began to growl, lowered itself into a hunting position. I knew I was in trouble and I knew what was going to happen next. I quickly grabbed a metal spatula before I was tackled to the floor. The dog barking loudly in my ear, trying to protect what was important to him. I took the metal spatula and made sure he bit the handle as I tried to push him off.

The dog got more fierce and ended up scratching my hand with his nails. I winced in pain but I tried to hold him back, trying to find a way out of the situation.

"Demon! Get off her now!" I heard Castiel yell.

In an instant the dog stopped and retreated back to his owner. I breathed out a sigh of relief and stood up. That had scared the living crap out of me.

"Hey, are you alright!?" Castiel said worriedly as he ran up to me.

"Y-Yeah, I think so. You're dog sure has some fight in him. Well, I'm alright so you don't need to worry, I made breakfast so we should eat up." I said with a smile as I tried to reassure him that I was fine.

"It's not funny if that's what you think. Because of me you got hurt, you shouldn't lie to me. Don't try to brush it off with a smile, you don't need to pretend like it didn't happen." He said frowning as he grabbed my hand.

"It's fine ok, it was an accident he didn't mean to. And it wasn't your fault at all, you don't have to worry about me." I said giving him a sad smile.
