Chapter 15: Distance

The whole week Castiel and I didn't speak at all, we acted as we were strangers to one another. I couldn't muster the courage to speak to him and try to resolve the conflict, but I can say that I didn't take initiative because deep down I was very hurt that he didn't trust me. As for Deborah, she hung out with Castiel after school many days and it really did make my heart ache. I just wanted her to disappear from existence, I've never disliked anyone like I did with her.

"Myra!" A familiar voice said.

"Sorry Lysander I was spaced out." I said with a small smile.

"If you don't mind that I ask but did anything happen between you and Castiel?" He said a bit concerned.

"Well we had a fight and so..." I said as I averted my eyes from his.

"Did Deborah have to do with any of it?"

"...yeah...but don't worry Rosa has something in store for her." I said with no confidence.

"Just don't get too carried away, don't want to see you getting hurt any further." He said as he patted  my head.

"Just with Rosa helping me I feel like we can finally beat her at her own game.." I said with an unwavering voice.

"It's good to see you in high spirits now." He said as he gave me a smile before he left.

"Thank you." I said as he left.

She wanted me to feel miserable and feel as if she had won but I knew that I wasn't going to let her have her way, I was going to show her how it feels to be cornered. Even if it means to detach myself from Castiel, in the end he has to decide what he chooses to believe.

The bell rang and again, another day of silence and being strangers occurred that day. I did my best to not let it effect me, but I did wish that I can take action already.

"Yo Myra! You're free today right?" Alexy said as he walked with me outside.

"Yeah, why?"

"Perfect, Armin and I have thought of an amazing plan to get back at Deborah! I'll text you the rest of the information!" Alexy said with a grin.

"Oh really...but you see..." I said as I was cut off.

"It's fine, "R" told me to tell you this!" He whispered the last part and winked at me before he parted ways.

"Wait Alexy." I said as I hugged him. "Thank you for believing in me too."

"Of course! I would never doubt this adorable face." He said as he hugged me back.

"I'll see you soon then." I said as I waved goodbye to him.

"Hey Darling~ Nice to see you here." An icy voice said.

I jumped and turned around to see who it was. "D-Deborah!! What are you doing here!?" I said getting nervous.

"Oh, I was just minding my own business when I heard something very interesting. And I think you know what it is." She said while she gave me a big grin.

"It doesn't matter if you know! I'll show you that you don't mess with me or Castiel, you witch!" I said back with anger.

"Oh really~ I want to see if you can. Try to make me look like the villain? Ha. Stop now and it won't backfire."

"I won't and I'll show your true colors!"

"I really don't get what you see in Castiel, well besides his musical talent and pretty face. However, besides that he's just another idiot who I can easily play with. Well, just to let you know, when I'm done using him I'm just going to throw him out like before. He's very naive, it's funny because he ran back into my arms then siding with you, his childhood friend! And here you thought you were special to him, it sucks though because your stupid love had no effect. You thought he could possibly love you, we all know who still has his heart. Like I said, he's such an dumb a**!!" She said as she laughed.

Something inside me had snapped and my vision grew blurry, words couldn't describe how furious I was. Someone like her had no right to talk ill of him, just another big mouth but no bite.

"Shut up already!!" I snapped back.

"Aww someone's angry!! What, did that hit the spot? But it's true and you know it?" She said with a smirk that I wanted to slap off her face.

"I told you to shut up!! Don't you ever speak bad about him, and don't you ever go near him again!! He's not an object you can play with and he's not yours at all!! You make me sick, just looking at you is vulgar!! I yelled furiously.

"What afraid that he's going to leave you...like your mother?"

How did she know that? Did Castiel really tell her everything that was personal to me? Well it didn't cross my mind yet because my body began moving on its own. Before I knew it I was in top of Deborah.

"YOU B****!!! DON'T YOU EVER SPEAK ABOUT HER WITH THAT DIRTY MOUTH OF YOURS!!! I WON'T LET YOU TAKE ANYONE AWAY FROM ME, ESPECIALLY CASTIEL!! I'LL KILL YOU! NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE HIM, NO ONE!!" I said as I threw punches at her as well as she did.

This went on for a while until a red head had ripped me off her. My hands were warm and felt as if they were clenching something. I looked at Deborah and saw bruises around her neck. I didn't know what happened but I did try to kill her, it was just like last time I lost control.

My head hurt but I had regained consciousness but I wish I disappeared because I felt as though I was the monster.

"What the f*** where you thinking!!? You could have killed her, I told you to stay away from her and not to get to possessive of me!!! To think that you would go this far...I despise you! Don't ever speak to me again, you're no longer my concern. I don't ever want to see you again!!" Castiel yelled as he went to help the "sobbing" Deborah.

I was shocked. I didn't even know how to react to his words. I felt as though I was having a nightmare that I wanted to wake up from. "C-Castiel... it's not what it looks like... I-..." I managed to say as I staggered to him as tears rained down my face.

'Please don't hate me, it wasn't suppose to end like this. I can't breathe!! My head hurts and I can't feel my body.' I thought to myself before darkness consumed me.

All that I could hear were faint sounds, someone was calling out to me but I couldn't make out the voice. I tried to open my eyes but they felt so heavy, I was surrounded in darkness and couldn't muster out words.

"Myra! Please wake up!" A voice said.

I forced myself to use all my strength to open my eyes and I tried to focus my vision. All that I could muster to see were blurs of lights, and I could smell very faintly anesthetics and disinfectant. I finally knew where I was, a place I hope not to return.
