"Come on, Nat, we gotta hurry!", I said, as I carried my suitcase to the bus.

"Okay, first of all stop shouting at me."

"I wasn't."

"That's subjective. And second, it's too early to hurry.", Natalie replied sleepily and followed me. I gave my suitcase to the bus driver, and he threw it into the bus. Nat did the same and before she even fully let go of it, I already started pulling her to the door.

"Names?"

"Scarlett Lincoln and Natalie Edwards.", I told the tour guide.

"Mhm..." The man looked at his list. "Ah, here. Okay, row 8 on the left.", he said smiling.

"Thanks.", I said and pulled Nat up the few stairs into the bus.

"Dibs on the window seat!", I called out.

"Shh, please! Just sit down, so I can and then I'll sleep.", she growled.

"Nat, seriously, try to be a little nicer."

"It's five am, anyone who's nice in the middle of the night is either drunk and still awake from party or a psychopath.", she murmured and sat down next to me.

"Come on, this will be fun! Rome will be amazing!", I said excitedly. She gave me an angry look, then turned her head. "Good night.", she murmured.

"Fine, whatever.", I replied and pulled out my phone. I put my earphones in and started listening to some songs when Nat eventually nudged me. "Hm?" She pointed out of the window, making me turn my head to take a look as well. "What?"

"Those two guys. They're handsome, aren't they?", she asked me with a grin on my face. I looked at her and rolled my eyes. "Nat, you're unbelievable.", I said and turned back again.

But Nat nudged me again when they entered the bus. The first one had black, curly hair, blue eyes and a few stubbles. He looked at us and smiled politely. We smiled back, then he took off his jacket, to lay it into the small hand baggage shelf above the seats and sat down right in front of me. Nat looked at me with a wide grin. I just shook my head, when the second man came in. He had brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes. I looked at him - no, I was staring at him. He smiled at us and Nat smiled back, but it took me a few seconds to collect my thoughts until I eventually smiled back as well. He sat down next to his friend and none of them said a word.

I pulled my water bottle out of my backpack and took a sip, because my mouth suddenly felt dry.

"You think, they're gay?", Nat suddenly asked me quietly. I choked on my water and started coughing.

"What the hell?", I asked her in disbelief.

She just shrugged. "They could be.", she said.

I shook my head and looked down at my phone.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen and welcome aboard. My name is John, and I am your driver for the next days.", a low and hardly understandable voice suddenly rustled through the speakers. Some of the other passengers clapped, some just listened.

"Always those white folks clapping."

"Nat, you're white."

"So? I can't be annoyed by them?"

"We will take our first pit stop in around three hours and will arrive in Rome in approximately twelve hours."

"He did not just say twelve hours, did he?", Nat called out.

"Come on, Nat. Twelve hours is a great time to enjoy the view."

"Of the landscape or in front of us?", she asked me with a smirk.

I just smiled as a reply.
