Aaron placed his left hand in my neck, his right one on my lower back and pulled me closer. His body was now pressed against mine; I could feel his heartbeat speeding up even more under my hands, I got the feeling it would burst if it would get any faster.
The kiss quickly got more passionate, when he suddenly broke it off. We both had to catch our breaths, then looked at each other. "I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that...", Aaron whispered.
"No, no, it's fine, I mean..." Actually, I had no idea what to say.
"I'd say it was the alcohol, but..."
"But?", I asked and looked at him. He looked back at me for a long moment, then he suddenly kissed me again. Gentler this time. I kissed him back immediately, without wasting a thought on it. We broke apart again and looked at each other again.
"Maybe... I should bring you to your room... It's pretty late...", he said.
"Yeah... Maybe..."
We looked at each other for a moment, I had a feeling we were both tempted to kiss again, but we eventually both agreed against it, so we walked up the stairs. He led me to my room, and we stopped in front of the door. "So... umm... good night.", he said and blushed a bit.
"Um... yeah. Good night." We both looked down at our feet. I looked at my shoes, trying to find right words to say so the situation wouldn't get any more awkward.
"Listen...", Aaron suddenly said. I looked up at him and had to smile slightly. He was cute when he felt uncomfortable. "I... I'm sorry about the kiss... Or rather kisses... I shouldn't have done that... I mean, we barely know each other and... I mean, I really like you, but..."
I couldn't help myself and giggled quietly, I couldn't tell if it was me or the alcohol.
"What...?", he asked.
"Aaron, you don't have to be sorry. It's true, we barely know each other, but I like you, too, and-"
And before I could go on, he kissed me again. He laid his arms around my waist, as I tiptoed a bit and laid my arms around his neck. I could feel him smile slightly against my lips and couldn't help but smile as well. We eventually parted and again smiled at each other.
"Will I see you at breakfast tomorrow?", he asked smiling.
"If you're lucky.", I replied.
Aaron chuckled quietly. "Okay, then I hope to see you at breakfast."
"You better."
He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Good night, Scar.", he said and left.
"Good night, Aaron.", I whispered to myself and smiled. I turned, opened the door of our room and entered.
Nat immediately threw her phone on the bed and ran toward me; I could see how excited she was. "What happened? What did you talk about? What did he say? Did he tell you, who he is? Will you tell me what happened already!" I closed the door behind me and walked to my bed, purposely ignoring her. I took off my shoes and changed into my pjs. Nat was still clearly on edge, waiting for me to spill the tea.
"Nothing important.", I eventually said smiling, laid down in my bed and closed my eyes.
