Aaron's POV:
I was standing in front of the mirror, the wide grin on my face almost hurting me because I just couldn't stop.
I couldn't believe that she could forgive me – I didn't know if I could forgive me if I was her. But she did, she did forgive me, and she still loved me. She loved me and I loved her. I was hers and she was mine. My Scarlett.
"Hey there, Romeo.", George said with a smile, as he put on his coat. "Looks like everything worked out with your Julia. Doesn't your face hurt yet from all the smiling you've been doing today?"
I chuckled. "It does, actually. And yes, everything worked out perfectly. Although I'm still having a hard time believing it." I turned around to look at George. "Thanks, man. For talking to her."
"Nah.", he smiled. "No worries."
Again, I chuckled then took a quick look at my watch. "We gotta go.", I said, grabbed his wrist and pulled out of our room into the corridor. We went over to Scarlett's room, then I knocked at the door.
Nat opened it and George and I both raised our eyebrows seeing her in an elegant blue dress. "Wow, Nat, you look amazing.", I said smiling, after I saw her in her dark blue dress.
"Thank you.", she said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Nat, I know what you think of me-"
"No, actually you don't.", she interrupted me harshly. "You hurt Scarlett so deeply that she was unable to stop crying for days. Yes, she was playing it cool but believe me I've known her long enough to know that it was all an act. You broke her heart, Aaron."
I knew if murder was legal, I wouldn't have survived the conversation.
I swallowed my insecurity and nodded. "I know. But I'm not gonna hurt her again, I swear. Believe me, please."
She looked at me for a long moment of silence. "I will kill you when you hurt her again.", she said furiously.
"No doubt about it."
"Hey, be nice to each other – please?"
Nat stepped aside and my jaw dropped, when I saw Scar in her red dress.
Scarlett's POV:
I smiled slightly at Aaron's reaction and walked toward them.
"This whole thing is over, okay? Done, no need to talk about it again-", I said and looked at Nat. She looked at me and nodded hesitatingly. I smiled and looked at Aaron.
"Looking sharp." He was still looking at me with big eyes making me laugh.
I was wearing the red dress he had bought me against my will, a bit make up on to bring out my eyes and had my hair in an updo.
I expected him to smile or maybe smirk slyly like he did in the store, I never thought he'd be speechless. Literally speechless.
"You-You... You look gorgeous.", he eventually stammered. I blushed and smiled at him.
"Thanks. And thanks for the dress. Although I'm not okay with you buying it against my will.", I said and lifted my finger in warning.
Aaron swallowed and nodded, then he tried to hide a smile. "I would know a few ways you could pay me back for it."
"Ew.", Nat commented behind us as I hit his chest. "Stop that!", I warned him.
"Not to interrupt this really sweet, cheesy and absolutely unnecessary conversation but how about we get to dinner before I'll starve?", George suggested.
We all nodded in agreement and followed him downstairs.
