We didn't continue to discuss anything, but I went back to my room to pack the rest of my stuff.

I entered and slipped into the bathroom right away without even talking to Nat. That would force me to think about it and I really didn't want that, it would only ruin the memories of the previous night.

Not being with Aaron was already terrible but being with him without physically being with him must've been an even worse hell than that.

I got out of the shower and got dressed before packing my stuff. Nat had started talking to and asking me questions about something, but I kept my mouth shut and actually ignored her most of the time.

It was rude, I knew that. But it was also the only way I could keep my mind off the problem, by focusing on packing.

"You done with ignoring me?", Nat asked after I had closed my suitcase and let out a sigh.

I just shook my head and put the suitcase on the floor.

"Okay, that's it." She grabbed my wrist and made me face her. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

I pulled my arm back. "Just leave it, okay?" I grabbed my suitcase and bag and left the room, Nat following close behind me.

"Hey, come on. I'm sorry. But please tell me what happened.", she asked, after she had closed the door behind her. Because I still didn't respond she looked me over before she gasped for air. "That son of a bitch, did he hurt you?", she asked concerned.

My head shot around, and I looked at her in shock. "What? No, no of course not."

"Then would you please tell me what's bothering you?", she asked calmly.

I closed my eyes and swallowed the lump in my throat. "We're done, Nat."

She frowned. "Again?"

"Think about it. Where is he living? Where am I living? How are we ever supposed to make that long distance work?"

Nat sighed and nodded. "That's tough."

"Mhm."

"But hey, you're gonna work it out somehow. Love conquers all and stuff, you know?", she tried to cheer me up by making a big gesture with her hands.

I had to laugh quietly and nodded. "Yeah, maybe it does."

Or maybe it doesn't.

We carried our suitcases downstairs and as you could expect from a klutz like I was I missed the last stair and tripped. My suitcase hit the ground with a crash, but someone caught me, before I could meet the same fate. An arm got wrapped around me and pulled me back up and of course the blue eyes I looked into belonged to Aaron.

"You okay?", he asked me quietly.

I nodded slightly when I noticed that his eyes were redder than usual.

He must have been crying.
