A dogs love
"No matter what, a dog will always love you"
It's true, you know. A dog will always love and respect you, no matter what. You may be a rich, high status person with a big family and a huge house. Or you can be the homeless, forgotten elderly man begging for money on the streets of Dublin. It doesn't matter; a dog will always love you.
A dogs love is undying. There is no other way to put it.
If you have a dog right now, I want you to call him so he comes to you, or you just go to him. I want you to wrap an arm around his neck and run your fingers through his fur. I want you to whisper 'good boy' and things like that to him. I want you to let him lick your nose. I want you to make it clear to him you love him. I want you to let him sit with you on the sofa. I want you to let him look at your computer screen; since you don't let anyone else look. I want you to let him sleep on your bed. And if you can, I want you to hold his paw while you're sleeping. It lets him know he's allowed on your bed and he's loved.
If your dog is not allowed in he house, I want you to go outside and run around the garden with him. Even if you're not an outernet type person. I want you to have a laugh and feed him treats. I want you to spend time with your dog outside. And I don't care if he's not allowed in the house; when there's a storm outside, I want you to let him even sleep on the front porch. It doesn't have to be inside, just on the front porch and he'll know you still love him.
A dog is such a beautiful animal and I want you to savour every moment you have with him. I want you to look back on the twelve years he was alive and think 'wow...'. I want you to go down to the dog shelter and save a life. I want you to beg your parents, tell them the dog will die if he's not adopted.
A dog dedicates its entire life to one family or one human being. This is why a dog is wonderful. They will undyingly love you.
A bit about my dog now. He's about 5-7 years old (human years). I'd say he's some kind of Irish terrier but he was a rescue dog found on the streets of Cork so we can't be sure. Literally found on the streets of Cork City. There were these foreign exchange students from America visiting and they found him. They couldn't keep him in student accommodation, so they sent an email around where my dad works. In the email; they described him as an 'adorable brown puppy-dog'. They named him Murphy, after the Irish beer.
I call Murphy my 'younger brother' because that's what he is to me. He's like the younger brother I never had.
