*Rin's POV*
"Oh my goodness look at these cute cat toys RIn!" she squealed running over to them.
I chuckled and picked one up to observe it. I squinted looking at it's details. The colors collided making the bright oranges and reds the prettiest. I set it down and heard music coming from the other side of the store. I followed it and could feel Kaiyo's presence behind me. I saw a young American man sitting on the corner singing sweetly. He was singing English so it was kind of hard to understand him, but I got the just of the song.
"May I have this dance?" I asked bowing down at Kaiyo.
She looked at me with kind eyes and smiled back.
"I didn't know you could dance?" she giggled.
"I dabble" I teased grabbing her hand and swinging her into my chest.
It felt like we were floating on the pavement. Waltzing back and forth to the young man's singing.
"I'll be a better man" he continued.
I hummed lightly closing my eyes and swaying us both back and forth.
"I'll be good, I'll be good. And I'll love the world, like I should"
It felt so different and lovingly dancing around with Kaiyo. When we were younger she was annoying and would pull my hair when I stole her dolls. But now she's grown up, strong, amazing, beautiful. She's a good person and Makoto is lucky to have her. When the music stopped everyone stopped and clapped for us. Kaiyo and looked at each other and giggled bowing a bit at the audience.

On our way home we talked about the races coming up and how she wanted me to be her partner for one of them since I was one of the fastest swimmers on the team. I agreed and I saw a white lily floating in a bush. I picked it up and handed it to her smirking a bit. She blushed as I took it and pulled back her hair revealing her ear placing it lightly behind it. Her cheeks turned redder and I smiled back.
"Thanks for hanging out with me, it was fun! See you later" I said waving to her as I walked backwards towards my house.
"See you at practice!" she shouted cupping her hands over her mouth.
"Good luck with your boyfriend" I replied.
She stood there and looked at me confused.
"How'd you know?" she blushed looking at the floor.
"You can't stand not being without Makoto for a day, I knew from the start!" I teased her back.
She smiled and sighed in relief. I turned around shoving my hands in my pocket. I felt a pair of arms around me and gasped widening my eyes a bit. I turned back and saw Kaiyo standing there with a big smile on her face.
"Thanks for being my friend Rin, you're really awesome you know that right?" she giggled walking backwards to her house.
She left me standing there looking at her with amazement. I shook my head slowly walking in. I saw Gou's faced pressed against the window and walked over to her tapping her shoulder a bit.
"What're you doing?" I asked her.
She jumped and looked at me excited.
"Oh my god you totally like Kaiyo!" she yelled almost busting my ear drum.
I rolled my eyes grabbing my swim bag making my way into my room. She's being over dramatic. I do not like Kaiyo. She's just my friend, that's all I need right now is a friend who wants to hang out with me and do fun things. I put some sweats on and pulled my shirt off as I laid in bed. I grabbed my phone and looked through my contacts searching for Kaiyo.
Thank you for never forgetting who I really am.

I woke up the next morning with a big headache so I didn't really wanna do anything except lay around and be lazy. But I had to be somewhat productive so I got ready to go for a run. I plugged my headphones in and started to jog down the road not minding the cars flying by. I heard someone yell my name but I was too focused to turn around to see who it was. I kept on running and finally reached my little spot. It was underneath some trees pass some bushes. They sky way bright in that one little spot in the trees. A breeze blowed past me and I sighed audibly looking around. I heard rustling in the bushes and jumped getting ready for whatever was coming. I saw dark brown hair cling to a small frail face that belonged to Kaiyo. I sighed and let my hands rest to my side. She pulled a stick out of her hair and chuckled.
"I have been chasing you for miles"
"Sorry I had my music blasting in my ear" I apologized scratching the back of my head.
"It's okay, isn't this your spot you always came to as a little kid?" She asked sitting down on the ground.
"Yeah" I huffed taking a spot next to her on the green grass filling my hands with it as I leaned back.
She smiled and looked up at the sky. Birds chirped and the breeze continued to float through our hair.
"How was your breakfast with Mako?" I asked generously.
"Oh it's was good! He always takes me to the best places" she smiled back.
I stared at her for a moment and saw another twig sticking out of her hair. She looked at me confused and I stopped her.
"Hold on you got-" I said caressing her cheek on accident making her blush pulling out the twig. "Got it"
I chuckled and flicked it in the other direction. She looked at her hands playing with her fingers blowing with her mouth a piece of hair out of her face. I smiled and tilted my head looking back towards the sky.
"Are you excited for the relay race? I've been practicing a lot and I think we make a great tag team" I said breaking the ice.
"Oh yeah! That's why I picked you you know! I knew we'd make a great team" she shrugged.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled a bit. We looked at each other and then are gazes went back to the sky where it was blue and the sun shines bright down on us.
