Something wasn't right and I couldn't put my finger on it.

I shook my head from my thoughts and walked over to my Iwatobi friends. They waved at me and smiled.

"You guys ready?" I said jumping up and down.

"Oh yeah!" Nagisa chimed in.

I nodded and high fived him. Makoto looked at me sadly and so did Haru. I titled my head and announcer began to call out the teams one by one. I said my 'laters' to them making my way over to my team. They all smiled and patted me on the back.

"Trying to sike out the other team?" a kid winked at me.

"Nope just saying good luck to them" I nodded smiling.

He looked at me confused and paid his attention back to the announcer. He continued to speak loudly to everyone about who was up and for what. I sighed heavily and looked at Rin who grabbed my hand searching around the room probably for scouts. I kissed the top of his hand and sighed loudly.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen it's time for our first round of freestyle!" The voice shouted.

Haru and Rin walked up and started talking. I cheered both of them on and the blast went off really quick I wasn't even paying any attention to it. They both were really good but of course Rin won which would give off a perfect impression to the men who looked down on us. The buzzer went off and Rin pumped his fist in the air.

I ran over to him jumping in his arms giggling as he chuckled along with me. I kissed his cheek repeatedly and smiled looking in his eyes as he spun me around.

"Good job baby" I smirked.

"Thanks" he replied letting me down.

We walked over to the team and looked at the records. Rin won and I felt happiness filling my heart. A man walked down and approached Rin with no emotion. He handed him a letter that had the school that I was attending address on it. He stuffed it in his team jacket sighing. He looked over at Sousuke who had the same letter as he smiled nodding at it.

"Rin don't you wanna open it?" I asked worried.

He shook his head.

"I wanna focus on winning nationals right now"

I nodded and held my hands together. I watched the other swimmers and prayed to the gods that we win. I want to win so bad. I want to leave an imprint on the school and other teams that when you work your best and focus on the top everything will go smoothly for you, and I've had a lot of bumps this year.

"Ladies and gentlemen it's time to announce the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place winning teams!" The announcer yelled excitedly.

My eyes shot open as I bounced my leg nervously sitting next to Rin and Sousuke.

"In 3rd place is Wataka High School" I clapped and looked over at Makoto and Haru. "In 2nd... Is the Iwatobi Swim Team!"

I cheered loudly for them as they approached the man handing trophies out to them. I sighed and looked at Rin who was more nervous than I was. I looked back at the swimming pool blocking out all other sounds around me,

"And 1st place goes too... the Samezuka high school!" The announcer chuckled holding up the piece of paper.

I gasped and looked at Rin. He jumped up with the rest of team shouting excitedly. I jumped up and he picked me up in swinging me in a circle. I chuckled and pressed my lips on his. The crowd went even crazier.

After everything calmed down I walked over to Makoto and them as they continued to talk about swimming and stuff. I smiled and high fived Rei and Nagisa first.

"Nice job!" I smiled.

Makoto hugged my shoulder and smiled down at me.

"Congrats to you holy cow you guys are awesome!" Nagisa blurted.

"We wanna come with you to the airport" Haru interrupted.

I looked at him confused for a moment but smiled and nodded back at him. Of course I want to see them before I go. I don't want to forget them. They all mean the world to me and I could already feel tears welling up inside me.

"Hey save the tears for the airport" mako teased wiping away my tears with his thumb.

I rolled my eyes and nudged him a bit. I looked back at Rin who came over to congratulating everyone here. It was truly a bitter sweet moment for us. I sighed and looked out the big windows that caught the shining sun.

I made my way to the entrance of my gate with all my bags in my hands. My parents were bawling their eyes out and complaining that I was going alone. I thought Rin would be here but I haven't seen him, I wish I was getting on the plane with him instead. I sighed and felt all my feelings rush over me as I cried into my hands dropping my purse next to me.

"It's okay honey they'll all be here" my mom smiled at me handing me a tissue.

I nodded and finally saw the Iwatobi crew approaching me with sad smiles and Haru carrying a bouquet of flowers. I ran over to Makoto first engulfing him in a hug.

"He's not coming huh?" I asked soaking up his tshirt with my tears.

"I'll beat him up if he doesn't show" he chuckled patting my head.

I chuckled a little too and smiled at everyone.

"I love you guys, you're all my best friends and I'll miss you like crazy. I'll try to come and visit as much as I can I promise you that" I nodded to Haru who looked the saddest.

"Come here" he sniffled hugging me tightly.

I giggled in his chest as his cologne filled my nose. I held the back of his head gripping his Raven black hair.

"I love you too Kaiyo" he whispered in my ear. "I love love you"

I let go and looked at him a little surprised. He kissed my cheek raising my chin. I smiled and looked at the ground nervously. I hugged Rei and Nagisa and told them that I'll miss them just as much. These guys are what I live for, swimming and my friends, my friends who have done everything in their hearts to make my life fun and sad at the same time. I turned towards the big windows and heard small sniffles and cries between my parent and my friends.

*Rin's POV*

My heart was pounding and tears were running down my cheeks as I gripped my fists tightly. I shook my head and coughed from running so fast. I saw her standing there tears in her eyes taking up all the sun and happiness around her. She radiates it back even brighter. I smiled and walked up to her as I caught her attention. Her mouth agape and she sobbed happy tears this time.

"I think you forget something for your flight" I smirked raising my suitcase to her.

She smirked at me and walked over to me pressing her luscious lips on mine.

You know that great feeling you get when you push through the water to reach that concrete wall in every competition, yeah screw that I already won what I was after, a girl with a passion and a heart...
