*Rin's POV*

I leaned against the window watching Kaiyo swimming around freely in the pool. I sighed and scratched the back of my head. What am I doing? I feel trapped like she did put something in my protein shake and now I can't stand not being around her. When she kissed Makoto's cheeks it made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't wrap it around my head why. I cleared my head as I turned around to look out the window seeing everyone riding their bikes and enjoying the nice weather. I heard Kaiyo crawl out of the pool but I didn't bother to look. 

"Hey are you okay?" she said placing a hand on my back. 

I jumped and turned around to look at her worried face. I sighed and lowered my head. 

"I don't know, I feel weird, not sick, but weird" I replied.

"How bout some ice cream?" she asked while drying her hair with her black towel.

I smiled and nodded walking with her towards the changing room. I waited outside and she finally finished coming out wearing our team shirt this time and some shorts. She smiled at me kindly as we walked towards the closes ice cream shop we saw. We ordered and sat down with our cones. I watched her look at the sweet savory ball of sugar and cream licking her lips. I raised my eyebrow and chuckled at her. We started to eat it and talk about the big meet coming up. I sighed and stretched my arms behind me. 

"We'll do good, we always do" she said confidently.

"I know, but you're going against your boyfriends' team, doesn't that bother you a little?" I asked.

She shrugged.

"He's my boyfriend when it comes to swimming or not. But if it gets competitive I'll have to stop and think. I don't wanna ruin our relationship in any way because of it. Swimming is my passion, my job and I can't let anything get in the way of it" she sighed sadly. "I mean what's a fish that can't swim"

"You're so cute" I chuckled not realizing what I said. 

She looked at me with wide eyes and I bit my bottom lip. 

"Anyways! Do you know when the season ends I've asked everybody on the team but they didn't really give me a response, I was wondering if I wanted to start some new practices during off season and-" I chuckled again blushing harder than before. 

"R-Rin did you just call me cute?" she stuttered.

"Who me?! No, you must be hearing things" I replied scratching the back of my head.

She nodded slowly and ate the rest of her ice cream. I sighed in relief and looked around the room trying to avoid eye contact with her. That was a close one, why did I say that in the first place?

"Gou I have a problem!" I shouted slamming the door open to the house.

She looked at me stunned and stepped back a bit.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"I called Kai cute, and she heard me but I didn't mean it! I just get so nervous and flustered around her and it drives me crazy-" I shouted tugging the hair at side of my head.

She giggled and covered her mouth.

"You're in love" she teased sticking her tongue out.

"WHAT!? No way! I'm not in love with Kaiyo that's crazy! She's just my friend. I don't even like her that" I chuckled shaking my head crossing my arms.

She put her hands on her hips and tilted her head.

"Yes you do Rin, it's so obvious!" 

"She's my friend, that's it Gou! I don't like someone like Kaiyo" I shouted getting a little heated about the conversation.

She gasped and stepped back lowering her head. She ran for her room slamming the door behind her. I walked out the front door slamming it too. I started to run, that's what clear my mind was running.

*Kaiyo's POV*

I was walking with Haru and Makoto holding Mako's hand. We walked along the beach staring at the ocean. Haru would look back and forth at the ocean and Makoto. He was just staring at the water. We stopped at the shoreline letting our feet get wet. It was nice and cold as the sun shined down on us for a while. There was some kids playing in the water splashing each other back and forth. I chuckled and looked at Makoto who was staring down at me making me blush.

The wind began to pick up and it started to rain causing the waves to crash. I couldn't breathe, the two kids playing were in danger. I hesitated and my breathe hitched a bit.

"Those kids! They're drowning!" Makoto shouted taking off his shirt and running towards the water.

"No he can't!" Haru shouted back.

"Why!?"

"He's afraid of the ocean!" he replied feeling panicked, I took off my swimsuit as well as Haru did.

"Help us!" The kids shouted crying as Haru and I dived in.

Makoto swam around and I could barely see anyone with the dark waves caving in on us. I saw Makoto and he didn't look like himself, he froze up and I started to cry. 

"Makoto!" I shouted to him.

I saw Haru swimming back with the kids in his hands almost to the shore. I couldn't find Makoto and tears kept rolling down on my cheeks.

"Makoto! Where are you!?" I shouted angrily.

I saw his dirty blonde head floating in the water. I gasped and quickly swam over to him taking his arms and wrapping them around my shoulders swimming back to shore. Tears continued to stream down my cheeks as the waves crashed down even harder on us. I finally made it to the shore dragging Makoto behind me. I coughed up water and laid beside him trying to catch my own breathe. I crawled over to him and listened to his chest.

"Makoto!" I said holding his cheeks.

He wasn't breathing properly so I started doing CPR pressing my hands onto his cold wet chest. I laid my head against it listening to his heartbeat again. I plugged his nose and pressed my mouth on his breathing air into his mouth to revive him. 

"Come on Makoto" I mumbled doing it again.

He finally coughed up water and sat up quickly breathing in a gulp of air. I sighed in relief and hugged him tightly. The wind died down and it continued to pour on top of us.

"Don't ever scare me like that ever again" I cried into his chest.

"Where are the kids?! Are they okay-" he asked panicked.

"Yes Haru got them safely, are you?" I said holding his shoulders staring into his green eyes.

"I'm okay? Did you-"

I smiled and nodded. I kissed him hard on the lips cupping his cheeks. He wrapped his arms around my waist sighing in relief. 

"Are you alright?" he sighed smiling holding my head.

I smiled and nodded.

"I am, Now that you are"
