The bright light shined down on us as I held Makoto's hand. I closed my eyes as the tears continued to stream down my face.

"I'm so glad you're okay Makoto-"

"Hello?" I heard a female voice from behind.

I turned around wiping away my tears. I dropped his hand and looked at her confused. It felt like I was stuck.

"I'm here to see Mak-" she started. "Makoto!"

She ran over to him engulfing him in a hug. I tilted my head.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm Nana, Makoto's lover" she smiled kindly sticking out her hand.

I gasped and jumped up knocking the chair over and running for home. Everything moved slowly and I thought I was gonna die. Tears continued to stream down my face as I continuously wiped them away. I stopped and saw Makoto's car sitting next to my house. I forgot he left it here. I screamed and began to hit it and kick it still crying my eyes out. I couldn't stop. All my anger and hate built up inside of me finally exploded.

"Kai?" I heard Rin's voice but continued to cry and punch the windows and door.

*Rin's POV*

"Hey! Kaiyo!" I shouted confused running over to her.

She was crying it broke my heart seeing her like this. I caught her wrists and she cried in my chest as I looked at her worried.

"M-Ma-Makoto! He's cheating on me! I hate him!" She screamed throwing her wrists back and stumbling a bit.

I caught her and she ran towards her house slamming the door behind her. I gasped and ran towards it opening it and running towards her room. She looked at me and sniffled wiping away her tears.

"I don't wanna see anybody leave me alone!" She shouted. "He's in love with some girl named Nana and I just-"

I walked over to her and engulfed her in a hug pressing her head into my chest. She sniffled and gripped my shirt crying.

"I thought he loved me..." She mumbled.

I nestled my face into her hair and sighed holding her close to me. I laid down with her and she cried and cried until she finally fell asleep. She must be exhausted from running and crying. I felt anger run through me as I got up quietly and saw Makoto standing outside getting into his truck. I ran over to him gripping his shirt and slamming him into the windshield.

"Rin what're you-" he scoffed.

"Shut up you fucking prick! How dare you do something to Kaiyo like that! You no good two timing fucking loser!" I yelled raising my fist and slamming it down on his face.

He coughed and looked at me with hurt eyes.

"What are you talking about?!" He shouted pushing me off.

"The other girl! The girl at the hospital! The girl that Kaiyo saw that broke her heart. Nana!"

"Nana? Nana was there?" He gasped.

"Don't ever come near Kaiyo ever again! You don't deserve her! Kaiyo is a amazing beautiful girl and you took her fucking happiness away! I didn't think someone like you could do something like that you asshole!" I shouted pointing at his chest.

He gasped again and got into his car tears streaming down his face as he quickly drove away.

I panted heavily and saw Kaiyo standing there her hands close to her chest as she looked at me with more tears in her eyes.

"R-Rin?" She mumbled.

I gulped and walked over to her. I patted her head and walked into her house to make food.

"Are you hungry? I'm sure you are" I cleared my throat trying to be nicer.

"Rin I-"

"Kaiyo. Just forget it okay" I mumbled waving my hand at her.

"You did that for me?" She said slowly approaching me.

I scratched the back of my head and sighed. She hugged me tightly and sniffled.

"You have changed, in the best of ways" she smiled.

I hugged her back and just stood there with her in my arms. I felt like my heart was going a million miles an hour being with her.

"I'm gonna go for a swim. I'll be alright" she sighed letting go and walking towards to get her bag.

I nodded and grabbed my phone walking back home silently. I didn't have much to say she needed to think clearly and take some time away from people that's all. I laid down and covered my face with my arms feeling almost alone.

I continued to talk to Seijuro about what happened the other day and he should let off Kaiyo for a while. I looked behind me and saw that she was floating around on her back. I turned back to Seijuro and sighed rubbing my face.

"It wasn't good yesterday I just-"I sighed.

"Where's Kai?" Aii asked looking around confused.

I huffed and turned around to see her floating down to the bottom no bubbles coming from her mouth. I gasped and ripped off my jacket running over to the pool.

"Kaiyo!"I shouted diving into the water and swimming fast to her.

I grabbed her wrist and her eyes shot open looking at me in surprise. I looked at her hurt and continued to swim to the top. She coughed up water when we hit the top and I petted her head.

"What were you thinking!?" I shouted angrily splashing around.

Tears streamed down her face and clenched her jaw swimming away from me doing laps. I pinched the bridge of nose and swam back crawling out of the pool sitting on the warm pavement.

"I think she wants to race Matsuoka" Seijuro interrupted me by placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Did you not just see what happened!? She just tried to drowned herself!" I shouted ripping from his grip.

"What she needs is friends on her team, step aside from her love life for a while"

I nodded and covered my mouth watching her continue to swim. Was she seriously that mad at me? For protecting her. Maybe I shouldn't said anything to Makoto, this was there thing and I stepped in like I was her boyfriend or something, it wasn't appropriate. But it just makes me so angry when I see her sad, it's very rare for her to be sad too.

I scoffed and grabbed my jacket throwing it over my shoulder and walking away from everyone and the pool.
