Returning To Neverland

Chapter One

Kim's POV

Me and Mike come out of the portal and quickly recognize where we are. In the forest in the back of our house. We run into the back yard and see our dog, Stormie. She's gotten to be a big black lab and it leaves me to wonder how long we've been gone. We look at each other and race to the house. Stormie starts barking which makes mom come out of the house. Seeing her only made us run faster. When we got to her she hugged both of us tightly. "Are you two ok?" She asked. She released us from the hug. "We're fine, mom." Mike said as we went inside the house. "Oh really. Then, how come your sister is dressed as a villager from the Enchanted Forest." I realize that she was right. I was still in the same clothes as I was when I was Athena. "Well, that's because I was trying to blend in with Neverland." I say. She smirks. "So, you dressed as a villager." She says. I nod and go up to my room. It's night so, I change into pajamas and go to bed. This is the first night in I don't know how long that I didn't hear crying.
I wake up the next morning and get dressed in jeans and a green tank top with a white jacket. I put on my tan boots and go downstairs to the kitchen. My mom is already down making breakfast. "Mom, exactly how long were me and my brother gone?" She turned around and said "over six months." My eyes widened. "What year is it?" I ask. When I left it was January of 2013. Hopefully the year isn't 2014 yet. "It's July of 2013." She said. I missed most of the school year. "Please don't tell me I have to do seventh grade over again." I said. "Your not. I negotiated with the school board and they agreed to let you and Mike pass. So, you'll be in eighth grade and he will be in twelfth grade." I smile at not being in seventh grade anymore.
After we finish eating breakfast, we go to the library to get some books that way I can have something to take my mind off of Neverland and all that happened. I find a copy of what looked like Henry's storybook that said Once Upon A Time. I checked it out and flipped through it on our way home. When we got home I ran to find Mike. I found him in his room playing video games like he did before we went to Neverland. I get a little nervous about what I just found out. "Mike." I say. He pauses the game and looks up at me. "What." He says. He glances at what I have in my hands. "I found something at the town library." I said. I turn the book around that way he could see what the title was.
