Returning To Neverland

Chapter Six

I wake up to my alarm and get ready for school. I put on a long sleeve pink shirt and a blue hoodie with jeans and my gray tennis shoes. I shove my phone in my back pocket and grab my bag. I go into the kitchen and find a note from my mom.
Gone to work early will be back by 6:00
Love, Mom😀
I get breakfast and hurry to the bus stop. Once I got to school Sydney and Skyler came up to me smiling like they were plotting something. "Hi." Skyler says. "Hi." I say. The giggle and look at me. "Ok. What are you guys plotting?" I say. "Well, let's just say we found out that someone likes you." Sydney said grinning. "Who?" I ask hoping that they don't say Tommy Clark ( aka Peter Pan but only to me.) "Tommy Clark." Skyler says. I'm ruined and there's no way he likes me. I mean we kissed in Neverland, but he probably only liked Athena and not me. I walk into class with Skyler and she sits in between me and a guy named Chris who she was obviously flirting with. Pan comes in and sits down next to me. A strange name was written on the board. An adult comes in the room and turns out to be a substitute teacher. I turn and see Pan doing something on his phone. He looks up at the teacher and puts his phone back in his pocket. The teacher gave us a worksheet and sat at his desk. People in the class whisper to others while they work and all of it suddenly stops. Everyone stars at me with wide eyes especially Skyler. I look straight and see an arrow inches away from my four head. I look to my right and see that Pan caught it before it can hit me. The substitute teacher had a bow in his hand and was aiming another arrow, but at Pan. "Everyone get down." Pan yelled. Everyone got on the floor and within the flying arrows and all of the chaos, Pan grabbed my wrist and ran out of the classroom. We kept running down the hall and down the stairs until we reached outside. "Where are we going?" I ask. He shrugs. "Beats me, but we have to go far away from the school." He said. Questions run through my head. Why did he protect me? Who was that guy? "I know. We can go to my house. It's not that far away." I say. I realize that I'm shaking. "Are you ok? You're shaking really bad." He says. "Yeah. It just scared me. That's all." We walk to my house in silence. I take out my house key and unlock the door. "No one's home?" He asked. I nod. "Both of my parents are at work and Mike went to college a year ago." I said. I go into the living room and turn on the t.v. I search and find my favorite show, Shake It Up. We just sit on the couch and watch t.v for what seems like hours. Pan picks up the remote to see what else is on. He comes across Jake And The Neverland Pirates and it just happened to be an episode with him in it. I chuckle to myself. "What?" He said looking over at me. "You're in this episode." I say. He raises an eyebrow "where am I ?" I point to the t.v. At the Disney version of Peter Pan floating over all of the other characters. "That's you." I say. "What? I don't look like that and I definitely don't wear hats." He said. "I know." I say through my laughter. He rolled his eyes and changed the channel. We started watching ICarly. I explained what the show was about. In certain parts of the show he would say stuff to the characters and I would laugh. After I laughed he would often roll his eyes or smirk. After the episode was over he said  "So, when are your parents coming back?" "My mom's not getting home until 6 and  my dad's not getting home until 9." I say back. "Ok. Then I'll stay with you until 6." I was caught off guard by this. "Really?" I say. He nods. I hug him "thank you." "No problem." He said. We pull away and I just look at the t.v.
