DIANAKiki was coming home today. The family was excited for her, but I was nervous. Don't get me wrong, it's good that she is well, but I'm not sure how she will react.
Right now, everyone is gathered in the living room. Our whole family came, even some cousins from moms side as well. I was talking to Lexie, since she was around my age.
"Are you nervous that she is coming back?" Lexie questioned me. The truth is- I was feeling many things and nervous was one of them. I nodded my head as Lexie sighed.
"Don't worry, she will have to forgive you soon," Lexie told me as I nodded my head again.
"I can't even forgive myself, all I bring in peoples lives is pain. I don't know, it's all pressuring on me. And when school starts I have to do well for college and that's a large amount of pressure as well. I am taking some courses to help me starting next week until school starts. It's hard, you know?" I said to Lexie, as she agreed with me. Lexie and I were about a year apart, and she was going to be in her senior year.
"Diana, it's going to turn out alright. Junior year is harder than senior year, especially with your advanced classes. But you will do fine, don't worry," She explained to me.
At that moment, I felt some tears spring up in my eyes for no reason. I remembered when I drank and I felt even more guilty. No one knew about it, except for myself and the stalker.
Diana stop crying you fucktard
I listened to my conscious and stopped crying. Lexie gave me a questioning look as to why I was crying. I knew I had to tell someone before things got ugly. Lexie was good at keeping secrets.
Once time when Lisa changed the gears on dad's bike, Lexie caught her but didn't tell. When Jackie got on the bike, it broke down and everyone thought Jackie did something or dad did.
"I drank," I blurted out. Once I realized what I said, I covered my mouth. Lexie's face went from confused, to very shocked. Since I'm usually good, my family wouldn't expect me to do that.
"Why? When? We are Mormons, were not even aloud!" She told me. I told her to shush because some of the family was staring at us.
"My sweet sixteen. Someone handed me a drink and I thought why no try something new, one drink can't hurt!" I exclaimed. She looked around to make sure no one heard. She looked at me disapprovingly.
Another person I have let down.
She knew she had to keep that secret.
"Please don't say anything?" I asked her.
She sighed, before nodding her head.
"Fine, I will keep your secret. On one condition-" She paused as Daxton came to her. She picked him up and kissed his head, before telling him to go run off and play. She then faced me again.
"If someone asks me about it, I will tell them. And is that why you were acting so weird? I remember someone came up to you and offered you one. It looked like some other drink or something," She rambled as I nodded my head.
It's fair, I guess.
Wait, did she say she saw who gave me the drink.
My blood ran cold again as I might have a clue on who was stalking me.
"Did you see what the person looked like?" I asked her.
"No, all I know is I saw someone hand you something. Why do you ask?" She questioned me with curiosity. I knew I couldn't tell her I had a stalker stalking me.
"No reason," I lied as I faked a smile.
After we talked, Lexie went to text her boyfriend. I played with Daxton since no one wanted to talk to the girl that pushed her sister down a cliff.
"She's here!" Lisa and Jackie yelled.
The car pulled up to the driveway and stopped. Mom helped Kiki out while dad carried something into the house. This wasn't a surprise party as much as a welcome home party.
My breath hitched- this was the moment of truth.
The moment where my sister would hate me forever, or forgive me.
Dad opened the door and everyone yelled 'welcome home'. I stood in the back crowd as everyone helped Kiki. I knew I couldn't face her just yet.
Her bruises were starting to heal and turn different colors, and she still had the stitches. My stitches had gotten taken out last week by a doctor.
Kiki's eyes surfaced through the crowd to find someone.
Me?
She stopped when she saw Skye and Charles, who we had invited. She looked so happy as she hugged them. I sighed, knowing it wouldn't happen just yet.
I decided to go to my room, it would be time to talk to Kiki later.
As I unlocked my phone, I looked at the new messages.
