Years Later"Why are we here, mom?" My oldest child and son, Chase, asked me.
Right now, we were at the airport, and Jordan and I were carrying our luggage, with help from the kids of course. The California airport was crowded.
"Because, we are going somewhere." I spoke, a smile spreading across my lips.
Let's get you filled in, shall we?
After high-school, I went to college in California with Sophia. During college, I was having a hard time with the break up of my boyfriend, Jordan, because of long distant. For some reason, I missed home as well and became depressed and started to drink more.
Eventually, Sophia found out again and told my parents. I had to explain everything, including how many times I had drank from high-school. My mistakes came and bit me back in the ass, and my whole family ignored me.
I got back into drinking and had a one-night stand that caused me to get pregnant with Chase, my sixteen year old son. His father wanted nothing to do with him. Chase had dark black hair and brown eyes and reminded me of my brother, Colin, who was dead.
After he was born, I still worked my way through med school before I actually began working in the same hospital as Jordan. By now, my family had forgiven me and I had learned my ways, and before I knew it, we had gotten married again.
After this, we had two twin girls, Victoria or Vicky and Delilah, when Chase was almost four and right now, they are thirteen and look alike with dark brown hair and blue eyes, like me. Two years later, we had Levi, who was eleven right now, and had blond hair like Jordan and blue eyes, like me.
After that we had our son, Nathan, who was seven and had gotten Jordan's green eyes and my brown hair. He was the spitting image of his dad, and acted exactly like him. Finally, we had our last kids, Willow and Arizona, who were three, and both had their dad's blond hair but Willow had gotten Jordan's green eyes and Arizona had gotten my sparkling blue eyes.
After that, we were done having kids.
Right now, we were going to London and back to the U.K with Kiki's, Sophia's, who we haven't seen in a long time, Jackie's, and Lisa's families. Everyone else was staying back in America.
Speaking of the rest of the family, everyone was good, except our great-grandma Lanette, who had died a few years ago and the dogs and cats who passed away as well.
Time flew by and before we knew it, all of us were in London. The plane was basically filled up with our whole family, and we were blasting music.
"Here's an old song!" Exclaimed Kiki, putting a song.
A smile curved onto my lips as I recognized the 'cash me outside remix' filling up the whole plane. All of us sang at the top of our lungs as our kids groaned.
Even the pilot and the flight attendants were getting tired of us.
Soon, we landed and before I knew it, we were in our old home. A day passed, and we found ourselves at the same cemetery we had found ourselves years ago.
"I can't believe we are here." I told Sophia, Kiki, Lisa, and Jackie, as we watched our kids look at their grandparents and our spouses talk to one-another. They knew it was our moment and not to disturb it.
"I know, it seems like yesterday we were in the crash and burying them in the ground." Kiki said, as we all nodded in agreement and watched everyone talk and run around the graveyard.
"Remember the good times we all had, like the family gatherings and the jokes?" Sophia asked, as the five of us smiled and reminisced about the good old days and the times we have.
"Well, if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't of had this epic adventure." Lisa said.
"No, it's our journey." Jackie corrected her.
"Yeah, it can be A Journey." Lisa and Jackie both said at the same time.
"Then we all found A Home." Sophia said.
"And then," Kiki and I said.
"We all kinda became A Problem." The two of us said, as we all laughed at our cheesiness. At the same time, we cried about everything we had went through and smiled at the good times we had.
"But don't worry, we didn't turn out so bad now." Sophia said, as we all nodded in agreement.
We wrapped arms around each-other as we watched everyone else remember the dead but celebrate their passing of life. Because of them, we all were now a united family.
I would give anything to these people, including my life.
I guess we have came a long way from those orphans we used to be, right?
