Stevie looked down at the tabloid magazine in her lap, staring at the photo of Lindsey and who she believed to be Kristen. At first she thought that it was a joke, impossible to be true, then her insecurities playing with her head, making her think that maybe  he was sleeping with another woman while she was pregnant. But why? Why would the man that has proven to love her over and over again through out the years, jump in bed with another woman for the hell of it? It didn't sound like anything that Lindsey would do but she was going to find out.

Lindsey was set to arrive back in Arizona where he would be reunited with his pregnant fiancé, incapable of hiding his joy as he smiled at everyone that he passed by! He'd planned the surprise earlier that week, not wanting to tell Stevie he was returning so soon, but the fact the program he joined to help him kick his habit again was over, Lindsey had no reason to stay back in California.

Being dropped off at Stevie's gate, Lindsey put in the code so it could open, allowing him to walk through as he then closed it behind him. He tossed his suitcase over his shoulder and began walking up the red brick driveway, taking off his sunglasses as he got to the porch, hanging them on the front of his shirt then giving a ring of the buzzer.

Barbara opened the door and placed a hand to her chest, not expecting Lindsey. "Oh, what a surprise! Lindsey, I was not expecting you! Stevie didn't say a word!"

"Hey, Barb!" giving her a kiss on the cheek as he stepped through the doorway, placing down his suitcase. "I actually didn't tell Stevie that I was coming, she doesn't know. Is she here?" looking around the front corridor.

"Yes, she's here, she's up in her bedroom. Do you want me to get her?"

"No, let me surprise her," smiling as she smiled back, the smile fading once he turned. Barbara wasn't so sure about Lindsey right now, though she loved him dearly like a son.

Lindsey tip toed through the hall, smelling fresh paint as he witnessed the nursery Stevie had started, a lump in his throat as he took a glace at the theme she chose. Fantasy. There was a mural of a castle with unicorns and dragons, Stevie always having a soft spot for that type of "make believe." He was thrilled.

Continuing his way down the hall, he stuck his head in to her bedroom, seeing her rocking back and forth in a black rocking chair. She was definitely in deep thought about something as he stepped in to the room, that all too familiar warmth that surrounded him when he locked eyes on her, deciding to admire her for a few moments before speaking. It was too late though, she heard the creek of the floor and turned, placing her hands on to the arm rests as she stared up at Lindsey in disbelief.

"Hey, beautiful," getting down on to his knees in front of her, hands on her thighs. "Surprise," smiling as his hands then took her belly, a tad larger than before, caressing the unborn child. "God, I missed you," one hand reaching up to touch her face. "How are you doing?"

As confused about everything in that tabloid, she was still accepting of his presence, taking his face in to the palms of her hands. "We have to talk."

His smile faded, the tone in her voice frightening. "Is everything okay? Is the baby okay?" hands on her belly again.

"Yes - I mean, no, the baby is okay..."

"But...?"

"Lindsey, what did you do out in California besides see your counselor?"

"Well, what do you mean? I did the group therapy, I went out a few times with the group. Why?"

"Were you ever alone with anyone?"

Sitting back, he rubbed his brow. "Baby, I don't know what is going on but you know what I was doing in California."
