Anna's pov
Luke comes in right after my mom fell asleep and he takes the chair next to Evelyn which happens to be next to me.
" Why are you even here." I asked exhausted
" Because I care about Evelyn." He snapped
" Why are you here?" He mocked
" Because I'm her best friend." I said aggravated at him as I glared at him
" Best friend?" He questioned smirking
" Yes best friend, I know you aren't familiar with that term because best friends never leave each other like you left her. They stick with each other no matter what's going on in their life, they talk to each other about everything. They love each other like family, but you wouldn't understand that." I said simply and I could see the rage in his eyes
" I'm out of here." He said getting up and grabbing his stuff
" Good because I'm sure the last thing Evelyn wants to wake up to is your face." I spat as he rolled his eyes and stormed out.
" Don't worry Evelyn, I'll never leave you." I whispered to her.
I started playing Crossy Road on my phone to pass time when I heard a knock on the door.
I looked up and saw the doctor.
" May I come in?" He asked smiling
" Oh yes of course." I said as I sat up straighter and put away my phone.
" I'm just going to do a quick check up on these two lovely ladies." He reassured
" Okay cool." I replied as I watched him to all his doctor stuff.
" Alright it seems that your mother will be able to leave in a couple of days. We just want to keep her here for a little while longer to check up on her leg and arm. Her leg is barely cracked so that should heal in about 2 weeks, her arm is lightly cracked, that should heal in about 2 weeks also." He explained as I nodded my head
" Evelyn over here, her arm has several cracks in it and they will take about 4-6 weeks to heal. Her neck is slightly fractured and should heal in about 2 weeks. But she is in a coma and that's very serious. Us doctors try our best to find out what's wrong but I'm not exactly sure when she will wake up. I'm having the head doctor of the hospital coming to check on her to see if he can tell, so he'll let you know." He finished
" Okay thank you." I said happy that things were a little better
" No problem, if you have an issue or see any irregular behavior contact one of the nurses." He said
" I will thank you." I replied
" Have a nice day." He said walking out
" You too." I replied
I checked the time on my phone and saw it was 6 P.M. I played Crossy Road as I waited for the head doctor to come in.
About 20 minuets later I beat my high score of 602 and heard a knock on the door.
" Hello miss, I'm here to check Evelyn Jones?" He asked referring to my mom and Ev.
" Yes that's her." I replied pointing to her
" Excellent." He said as he started checking all her levels and all that.
" Okay, everything seems to be getting better and by the looks of it she should wake up in the next 3 days." He said making my heart jump.
" 3 days?!" I said shocked
" Yes, contact one of the nurses if she wakes up sooner okay?" He asked
" Yes I will thank you doctor." I replied giddy
" No problem, have a nice day." He said leaving
" I will you too!" I replied
Ahh!!!! 3 days till I get to talk to my best friend!!!! Just 3 more days. 72 more hours. I cannot wait...
