"It'll be okay."Jaylen rubs my back and hugs me.

"I just don't feel like it. Why did he have to be in detention?" I wipe my tears.

"You don't have to look at him or even sit by him. It'll be like he's not even there."

"But he is!"

"Listen we can't just sit in here all day or we'll get in even more trouble for skipping detention. Just ignore him and his face."

"Fine I'll try but what if I think about it and start to cry again?"

"You won't because if he looks at you wrong or says anything hurtful to you I'll make sure what I do to him will get me expelled."

"Thanks."

"Is she okay, Jay?" Jacob asks from outside.

"Yea she perfect." We leave as Jaylen makes sure I still look as good as I did before I started to cry. As we get to the door we notice the room got more full. We get inside and notice that there are three desks close together and try to go there but the instructor stops us.

"You three are not sitting together. Anderson right there and Jackson right there." He points to our seats. I roll my eyes and think that it won't be that bad. Thats until I realize who the seats next to.

"Mr. Fuller oh no I can't sit right there." I turn around and protest.

"And why's that?" He puts down the book he was previously reading.

"I- I just can't. " I stutter out.

"Thats not a reason so either sit where I tell you or we'll get your dad to have a sit down with the principal." Well I didn't want that so I just sorrowfully go to the seat and sit next to the person I hate.

"Um Mr. Fuller I don't have anywhere to sit." Jacob says.

"Oh I have a seat for you right here." He points to the chair beside his desk. Jacob sighs and sits down.

"Hey." He whispers. I just pretend as if I don't hear him maybe he'll go away.

"Pss. I know you hear me." Obviously I was wrong he's still trying to get my attention. I bet your all wondering what exactly did he do to make me HATE him. Well here we go. It all started in seventh grade.

Flashback

"Hey can I borrow your pencil, girlfriend?" Jack asks.

"How many times do I have to tell you, I'm not your girlfriend. But I'm nice so I'll give you a pencil." I laughed.

"Thanks beautiful. Hey while your at it can you help me with number twelve?"

"I would but I'm not about to get in trouble because of you."

"Ask the teacher if you can help me."

"Your the one that needs help, you ask."

"Fine. Mrs. Ashley can my girlfriend I mean Kyla help me with my work?" The teacher tries not to laugh but nods in reply.

"Fine I guess I'll help you." I help him with his work to find out he knows exactly what to do he just want me to help him.

A couple days later

"So how's it going with your parents?" He puts his arm around me.

"There officially not together anymore." I lay my head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry to hear that but I'm here for you if you need me." The bus hits a bump as we laugh.

"Thanks Jack."
