Chapter 4: Awkward..

Alex's pov

After class I made my way out of the classroom quickly only to hear someone say my name.

"Alex"

I turned around to see Calum standing behind me awkwardly.

"Ya?" I asked him, waiting for him to continue what he was going to say.

"I figured we should probably exchange numbers so we can figure out when to work on the project" he explained.

I nodded as I took out my phone and had him make his contact, him doing the same with his phone.

I put my contact in his phone as just a simple 'Alex' and handed it back to him.

"I'll text you later" he said and with that he walked away.

I rushed to my seventh period and say there not being able to focus on anything..

I decided to text Melody.

'You'll never guess who I got partnered up with in history:/'

Seconds later she replied with a quick 'who???'

'Calum..'

I sent the text and sighed.

I don't know how I was going to work with him.

He was apart of the group the made fun of me.

'YOU'RE SHETTING ME' she replied.

'I WISH I WAS! Oh god help Mel'

'That's gotta suck:/'

'Like wtf???'

'Just try your best to finish the project quickly'

'Ik that's what I was planning on doing:/ I don't want to go to his house'

'You'll be fine Alex trust me'

'Idk man what if he invites his group over'

'If he does just leave'

'Tru'

'I gtg teacher is yelling at me 😒 ttyl'

I sighed and set my phone on the desk.

Later that night while I was sitting in my room I received a text from Calum..

'Hey'

I sent a quick 'hi' back and felt my stomach turn, I hated texting boys.

'I was wondering if you were free tomorrow to work on this stupid project'

I read his text and thought about saying no, but then I realized if I wanted to get this project over with the sooner the better.

'Oh ya tomorrow's fine'

'Alright I'll text you my address after school'

'Sounds good'

And that was our whole conversation.

Pretty lame I know..

But that's what happens when you get paired up with someone who could basically be your enemy..
