Alex's pov
After I said goodbye to Mel and wished her luck on her date I left and made my way to work.
Hopefully Ashton was working so I wouldn't be all alone:/
When I got there I walked into the store to hear the door chime go off, informing the workers that a customer was here.
"Hey there Alex" I heard Bill say.
I turned to see him making his way out of the storage room.
"Hey Bill" I smiled at him.
"Looks like you're on your own today" he informed me.
"Listen I have to go pick my daughter up from daycare so I'm leaving you alone for an hour or so" he explained.
I gave him a look.
"You'll be fine Alex" he chuckled knowing exactly what I was thinking.
"I'll see you in an hour" he announced before leaving me alone.
Great I was now alone with no one to joke around with.
I sat down in the chair behind the front desk as I waited for customers to come in.
After about 20 minutes the door opened and I looked up expecting to greet a stranger, but it was only Calum.
"Can I help-" I began, but stopped as I saw him.
"Alex?" He looked at me confused.
"Calum what are you doing here?" I questioned.
"I came to get new picks for my bass" he explained.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I work here" I stated.
"Really? that's awesome" he exclaimed.
I nodded and made my way over to him.
We continued walking as I led him over to the guitar picks.
"Are these what you're looking for?" I held up some guitar picks.
"Just black picks?" He laughed at me.
"Whattt? I love the color black" I shrugged.
"I can see that" he chucked and shook his head.
"You want them or not?" I asked.
"Why not" he shrugged.
"Is that all you need?" I questioned him.
"Yup" he said popping the p.
I nodded and made my way to the register to check him out.
"Sooo what time you working till?" Calum asked trying to break the silence between us.
"Six" I sighed.
"We should hang out afterwards" he suggested.
