Chapter 13: Smiles

Alex's pov

The weekend was finally here and Mel and I couldn't wait to go hang with our new friends.

Over the week we had become really good friends with Michael and indie and it was great to meet people who were just like us.

We made plans for all of us to go iceskating at noon.

And honestly I couldn't fuxking wait.

Even though I haven't gone iceskating in years and would probably fall on my ass I couldn't care less.

My phone vibrated from inside my pocket and I took it out to see Calum had texted me.

I smiled to myself as I unlocked my phone to read his text.

'We're leaving in a few:) see you guys soon'

'Can't wait:)'

I sent my text and yelled to Mel who was finishing her makeup.

"One sec I'm almost done!" She yelled from the bathroom.

Seconds later she came out.

"Alright let's go" she stated as she put on her shoes and I grabbed my keys locking the door behind me.

We arrived at the iceskating place and made our way inside to find Calum, Michael, and indie waiting for us.

"I was gonna pay for your guys' ice skates but I didn't know your sizes" Calum explained.

"Thanks Calum, but don't worry we got it" I smiled at him.

It was sweet of him to think of doing that for us, but he didn't need too.

We went up to the ice skate rental stand and got our ice skates and then sat down as we put them on.

Luckily I was wearing fuzzy socks so the ice skates fit me perfectly.

"Oh I invited a few friends who should be coming any minute" Michael told us.

At that moment I noticed that Ashton guy from the music store was here.

"Hey Ashton!" I waved at him as he made his way over to us with some other guy.

"You know Ashton?" Calum asked curiously.

"Ya he works with Mel and I" I explained.

I looked over at Mel to see she was staring at the guy with Ashton.

I looked over at him.

He was tall, he was probably 6'4 or so with dirty blonde hair.

His eyes were a bright blue and I smiled to myself I knew Mel had a thing for guys' with blue eyes.

I looked back at her to see she couldn't take her eyes off him.

I got up to act like I was getting use to my ice skates as I walked over to her and judged her.

"Dude you're staring" I whispered.

She shook her head knocking herself out of her trance.

"I can't help it he's gorgeous" she whispered back.

"I should probably introduced myself.. I'm luke" the boy stated as he stood there waiting for us to introduce ourselves.

"I'm Alex and this is Mel" I announced knowing Mel would probably shet herself if she spoke.

"Nice to meet you" he smiled widely at Mel.

After the two boys for their ice skates we all made our way to the ice rink.

"I'm gonna fall on my face guys" I warned them.

"You'll be fine Alex" Calum said reassuring me.

He stepped onto the before me acting as if he was an expert at iceskating.

"See it's easy" he stated.

I stepped onto the ice as I held onto the wall with one hand and glided myself along the ice slowly.

"You're doing good" Calum smiled from beside me.

I stumbled a bit and he chuckled from beside me.

I gave him a glare making him mouth 'sorry'.

"Here take my hand" he said offering his hand.

"I don't know man that's pretty risky" I joked.

"I thought you were a risk taker" he smirked.

I put my hand in his as he intertwined our fingers and I let go of the wall, giving him my trust.

"You better not let me fall" I told him as I wrapped my other hand around his bicep for extra support.

"No promises" he stated with a chuckle.

"You're such an ass" I muttered even though we both knew I was joking.

We went around the rank a few times before I let go on his bicep, making it so it was just us holding hands.

I looked around to see Michael and indie smiling widely at each other as they glided along the ice like pros.

They were too cute:)

I searched the rank for Melody to find Luke was beside her as she held onto the wall.

They were smiling at one another and i smiled to myself.

It was good to see her happy.

"I think Luke has a crush" Calum spoke.

I looked up at him and smiled at his comment.

"He totally likes her"

I nodded the went back to watching the two from a far as I smiled at the sight of them together.

Luke then took Mel's hands as he led her away from wall and ice skates backwards, helping her balanced.

I heard her giggle and I knew she was already going to have a huge crush on this boy.

After hours of iceskating it came time for us to leave because the place was about to close.

I sighed not wanting to leave.

I was having such a great time and I didn't want it to end anytime soon.

Calum helped me off the ice and the rest of the group followed behind us.

We all sat down on the benches as we took off our skates and discussed how much fun we had.

"You guys free tomorrow?" Ashton questioned everyone.

"I'm free" I announced.

"Same" Michael and indie said at the same time, making each other laugh.

"I don't think I have any plans" Mel shrugged.

"Well if everyone's up to hang tomorrow we could always go bowling or something" Ashton offered.

"That sounds like fun" indie chimmed in.
