Alex's pov
Finally it was Friday and I couldn't be any happier.
I survived a whole week at school.
I don't know how I did it, but I did.
"So you wanna hang out tonight?" Mel asked from beside me as we sat at our lunch table.
"Sure sleepover at my place?" I asked her.
"Sounds good to me" she smiled.
It was great to finally have a best friend.
The last time I had a best friend was in preschool and well when we went into kindergarten she acted like she didn't know me.
So I guess I could say Mel was my first actual best friend and I couldn't be happier to have met her.
I probably wouldn't be showing up to school if she hadn't introduced herself that first day.
"I'm going to go throw this away" I told her as I got up and made my way across the cafeteria to the nearest garbage can.
I turned around to walk back to Melody when all of sudden Whitney basically poured her lunch on me.
My eyes widened as I stood there looking at her.
"Oops didn't see you there" she said with a grin spread across her face.
Everyone watched as they laughed and whispered to one another.
Melody must've seen what she did because all of the sudden she grabbed my bag along with hers and headed towards us."Come one Alex let's go she's not worth it" Mel stated.
Whitney laughed at Mel's comment and I felt myself getting more and more ticked off.
"Next time stay away from my man" Whitney explained as she walked back to her group.
Melody pulled me away and we made our way to the girls bathroom.
"What the hell was that all about?" I asked her.
"I don't know she's just a total betch" Mel exclaimed as she handed me paper towels and helped me clean off my outfit.
"Did you hear what she said?" I questioned her.
"Ya she must be referring to Calum she's basically obsessed with him. Even though he's clearly told her he doesn't like her" Mel explained.
"Well doesn't she know that it's for a fuxking project?!"
"She still gets jealous no matter what it was for" Mel rolled her eyes.
"God I hate her" I sighed.
"Me too"
After cleaning my outfit the best we could Mel told me I should probably just go home and changed and she'd head to my house after school.
"You're right plus I don't want to see Calum next period as it is"
With that I grabbed my bag and just walked out of school and hopped into my truck as I left not caring if I got in trouble anymore.
When I reached my house I turned off my truck and quickly made my way up to my bedroom to change, throwing my bag on my bed.
I changed into a huge sweater and sweats not caring what I looked like.
I was humiliated now the whole school probably thought I was some geek who just got lunch poured all over her.
What makes it even worse is that everyone saw it..
I sighed as I fell onto my bed and turned on my phone only to find I had a text message from Calum.
What the Fuxk did he want?
I unlocked my phone and read his message.
'are you okay?'
I rolled my eyes.
'I'm great thanks for asking'
I shut off my phone and decided to grab something to eat since it'd be a couple hours till Melody came over.
I searched cabinet after cabinet to find something I actually was in the mood to eat.
Finally giving up and settling on a peanut butter sandwich. (Yes I said peanut butter and not jelly because I hate jelly)
After pouring myself a glass of milk I headed back upstairs to see Calum had responded again.
'Look I'm sorry about Whitney..'
'You could've warned me that your gf is crazy'
He quickly replied
'Whitney's not my gf haha'
'So why did she go ape shet on me?'
It took him a little while to reply and I couldn't tell whether it was because he didn't exactly know the answer to that or he just was typing a long ass paragraph on why she's crazy.
'Ok so let me explain.. When Whitney and I first met we were good friends and well that's all I ever thought of her as right? And well it wasn't a mutual feeling for her let me tell you. I've told that girl so many times that I only think of her as a friend, but she still doesn't take a fuxking hint... She's crazy. I'm gonna be honest she's jealous of you because she's never been over my house before.. None of my friends Have actually. So ya that's why she went ape shet on you. Again I'm sorry'
I read the text and for some reason the last two sentences stuck in my head.
His friends have never gone over his house??
Why hasn't Calum had his friends over?? I guess we'll have to wait and see:)
Much love xx
