Chapter 29: Glares

Alex's pov

The next morning I woke up smiling at the fact that I had something to look forward to today.

Calum was picking me up this morning since my truck was in the shop getting worked on.

And well Calum being the sweet guy he was, he volunteered to drive me to school.

About an hour later I heard Calum beep his horn from my driveway.

I made my way outside and got into his car.

As our eyes met, I seen a smile spread across Calum's face, making me smile even wider than before.

"Well hello there beautiful" he greeted me.

"Hello there handsome" I teased.

When we arrived at school we both got out and began making our way towards the front entrance.

Calum took my hand in his as he intertwined my fingers with his own.

As we continued to walk down the hallway I watched as heads turned and everyone looked at us weirdly.

Calum must've noticed me starting to get uncomfortable because I felt his thumb rub my hand soothingly.

I looked up at him to see him looking down at me.

"Don't pay attention to them" he whispered, giving me a reassuring smile.

I nodded and we continued walking to first period.

We sat down at our seats and a few minutes later Melody entered the room and sat beside me.

Calum and I both started smiling widely.

"What's up with you two?" Mel asked curiously.

I hadn't told Mel that Calum and I started dating because I thought it be fun to see if she would figure it out.

"Nothinggg" Calum said with a smirk.

I looked over at him and started laughing.

Michael came over to us with a huge smile on his face.

"So I heard the news" he smirked at Calum and I, making Mel even more confused.

"What news?" She questioned us.

I looked over at Calum and then back at Mel.

He intertwined his fingers with mine again as Mel's eyes widened.

"You guys are dating?!" She whisper yelled with excitement.

"Haha ya" I blushed.

"It's about damn time" she exclaimed.

I laughed at her comment, but soon stopped as I seen that Whitney and Tiffany had entered the room, looking over at us as they rolled their eyes.

I sighed.

"Don't let them bother you" Calum whispered.

"I can't help it" I shrugged as I looked down at my notebook, trying to ignore the glares given by both girls.

At lunch we all sat at our table again not giving a shit about what Whitney, Tiffany, or Libby had to say about it.

"So cal finally asked you huh?" Indie questioned with a smirk.

Calum laughed at her comment, as his cheeks turned a light shade of red.

"I guess so" I smiled at him, answering her question.

I could feel Whitney and Tiffany glaring at me from the distance.

I still didn't get why they hated me so much..

I mean I get Calum had a thing with both of them, but it's not like I knew when I first met him.

"Now we just gotta get ash a girlfriend" Michael joked.

We all laughed at his comment.

"I got that covered" I stated with a smirk.

"Oh god" Calum widened his eyes pretending to be scared.

I giggled and began telling Mel about Tyler.

After all, Tyler reminded me of ashton.
