Alpha And Omega

Chapter 9

Once we decided on the mall Kevin pushed us all to the kitchen to eat breakfast. We were all enjoying ourselves and laughing at one of Avi's stories when my phone rang. I excuse myself before answering.

"Mister Hoying it's Kat, and I need you and your pack to come to the council as soon as possible. There is some problems and we need your group here." The assistant says making me sigh.

"Okay Kat. We are on our way. Just sit tight." I say before hanging up. I walk back into the kitchen and everyone looks to me. "Guys the mall will have to wait. We got called in because of some emergency. We have to leave now. I'm sorry guys."

Everyone understands and Kevin collects their plates Mitch rushes to get Kristen dressed and he sets boh of our shoes by the door. Once Kit is dressed we head out the door. I rush everyone into the car and pull off. Mitch is in the passenger seat sending messages for me.

Everyone in the back stays silent as I drive as quickly as possible. Soon we are pulling up to the building and I rush everyone out the car. We rush into the building to find everyone flying around trying to get things done.

I stop a alpha who was rushing by and asked him what was going on. "The higher ups are coming and we need to be ready." He says before rushing off. I quickly jump into high gear and start giving orders.

I send Mitch and Kristen to get the omegas ready while Todrick and Kevin tend to the betas. I make sure everything is ready for arrival before making my rounds to calm everyone down.

The omegas we all calm and I even saw Connor and Phil. The betas were ready with any information that the high ups might want and the alphas were trained and ready to perform at the drop of a dime. Once I was sure everything was in place I grabbed Mitch and we waited for them to arrive.

We waited for all of 5 minutes before the higher ups came in. Mitch wore his biggest smile as did I. We shook hands and introduced ourselves. There turned out to be only one and he was looking for an omega.

The higher ups guy to choose which omega they wanted as long as they weren't taken. Each higher up runs a different portion of the council. My portion deals with distribution of families, there are 4 other parts but I won't go into detail.

"I'm Dan Howell and I'm here for an omega." He says shaking my hand and then Mitch's. "I'm from the law council building, and I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you." He says with a dimpled smile.

"I'm Scott Hoying head of the distribution council and this is my omega Mitch. I don't think we have met, but it's always nice to make a new friend." I say and he smiles again.

I start to lead him down the hall to where the omegas are. I allow Mitch to enter first and he rounds up all the unclaimed omegas. Among those was Phil, who looked to Dan with wide eyes. The blue of them shining brightly, but they weren't his omega color they were his eyes.

Dan scans the crowd before stopping on Phil. He smiles and walks up to him, he engages in a conversation, and I could tell they were a perfect match. They talked for a while so Mitch dismissed the other omegas and let them have this moment.

Mitch and I talked by the door for a while before Dan called my name. I looked up and smiled and he returned it. "I like Phil here. I think I will take him home." He says and Mitch smiles.

"I knew you would. Phil is great." Mitch says looking up to the tall lad in all black. Dan smiles down at him and rubs his head. "You've got a good omega on your hands Scott." He compliments making both Mitch and I smile.

We show them to the door after getting Dan Phil's papers and everything. Once they were gone I dismissed everyone who was on standby. They all sighed in relief before going back to their jobs.
