Chapter 32

Mention of physical abuse and rape in 3rd and 4th paragraphs.

We pull up to Mark's old house and everyone hops out the car. Jack looked really uncomfortable standing next to Kelsey, and I could only understand why. Mitch could see it too, so he walks over and starts talking to him. "Is this a rearrangement type thing, or is this your first pack?" He asks and Jack smiles. "It's a rearrangement." He says and Mitch smiles.

"If you don't mind me asking, what was your first pack like?" He asks, and Jack physically tenses. "I'll tell you about mines, if that makes it easier." He says and Jack nods. "Well it wasn't a pack, more of a school, but I lived there." He starts and Jack nods.

"The alphas there were very abusive to us. There I was cut and burned. If I slipped up on something they would deny us food for days, or lock us in this room for hours and just beat us with whips or sticks. Then one day, they said my punishments weren't working. They said I wasn't making progress. So they took me to a floor in the building no one used, and took turns using me. I was so afraid to mess up after that, so I didn't but that didn't stop them. They still would, and they called me so many names. They would torture me with this, and it made it worse because they were my first. This went on for 2 of the 3 years, then my alpha saved me." Once he finishes Jack pulls him into a huge hug.

"My story isn't nearly as bad as yours. Um. My alpha was actually a women. She was very strict, and the smallest things brought on the worse punishments. Her name was May. She would force me to sit in cold water for almost an hour. She would refuse to feed me, and once she tied me down and held a lighter to my thigh. It didn't leave any marks, but it's not something I'll be forgetting." He says and Mitch hugs him.

"That's horrible. And don't compare your pain to mine. My pain lead me to the love of my life. And yours might as well. Mark is nothing like that. He won't hurt you like May." He says and both Kendell and Kyle turn around.

"Your old alpha's name was... May?" Kendell asks beginning to shake. "Yes...?" He answers more like a question. Kyle's eyes roll back and Kendell catches him before he falls. "What's going on?" Jack asks and Kendell looks at him. "We used to be in her pack." He says.

At that moment Mark runs out along with Travis and my betas. "Ken what happened?" He asks and Kendell looks to Jack. "He used to be in May's pack. He's coming from there." He says and realization washes over his face. He grabs Jack and pulls him into a hug. "I'm so sorry. I know how she was, she left my betas broken and afraid. I hope you know, I will never, ever, hurt you." He says and Jack tears up.

"I know sir, Mitch told me." He says and Mitch blows a kiss. Jack wipes his eyes and Mark pulls Mitch into a hug. I pull Mitch out his arms and wrap mine around him. Mark rolls his eyes and pulls Jack into his arms instead. Jack turns around and runs his hands through Mark's hair.

"I like the red in your hair. It suits you." He says and Mark runs his hands through Jack's hair. "Green looks nice on you. It compliments your eyes." He says and Jack blushes. "Thank you alpha." He says and we smile.

"Hate to break up this cute moment, but we need to pack. And I need help lifting my brother." Kendell says and I run over to help. We all walk inside and I lay Kyle on the couch. Everyone was inside unplugging things and wrapping things and putting them in boxes. "Mitch help Alex in the kitchen. He's clumsy so don't let him break anything." I say and he gives me a kiss before waking over to the kitchen.

I lay Kyle down and his twin sits next to him. "What happened to you two there?" I ask and he looks up at me, before looking down at his brother. "I'd rather not. But if it's really important I'll tell you." He says and I smile. (More abuse) "She liked to pick on Kyle. Make him feel bad about himself. I called myself standing up for him, but all that did was get me beat. He would beg me to stop, but I refused because he's my brother. Me letting him get hurt is something that would kill me. And he would've done the same for me." He explains and I nod.

"You two are safe now. And don't ever lose that protective spirit." I say and he smiles. "Thank you." He says and I ruffle his hair before walking off. I head up the stairs, but then a loud crash comes from the kitchen and I go running.

Mitch if sitting on the floor wide eyed and frozen. Alex was standing behind him with his hand over his mouth. Without any warning Mitch's eyes then blue and pain floods the house. He sniffles and puts his hand on his back. When he pulls his hand to his face there's blood. I rush over just as Alex goes to move.

"No! Go get your brother and both my betas. Then stay out the way. You've done enough today." I say lifting my baby gently off the floor. I carry him into the living room just as Mark Kevin and Todrick come running down the stairs. "What happened?!" Mark asks and Mitch finally says something.

"A-alex dropped a plate be-behind me, a-and it shattered." He explains and Jack comes down. "Alex stay out the kitchen. You're not allowed in there anymore during this packing process." Mark says and Mitch starts to shake. "A-Alpha... It hurts." He says and I kiss his shoulder.

"Let's get you cleaned up." I say and Todrick follows me to the bathroom.
