After Josh left, dad and I went inside the house. He pulled me into his office.

"Yes dad?" I asked him.

"Brooke I'm happy that your happy with the babysitter but don't get to attached to him ok." My dad said.

"Why? His like a friend to me." I told my dad. Although I thought of him as more than a friend I could see us even being boyfriend and girlfriend but I don't know how he feels about me.

"I understand but I don't want you to get to close to him. You might get hurt." My dad said expressionless.

"Dad I'm 14 I can handle my emotions." I said strongly.

"Fine but if you and him get close to more than friends then I will kick him off the team and I will get you a tutor so you will be home schooled. Understood." My dad said to me. I could see the seriousness in his eyes.

"Why can't you see that I'm old enough to handle myself and I'm not stupid I know what I'm doing. Dad you need to stop being overprotective I'm growing up, you need to understand that." I said angrily to him.

He knocked his fist on his desk and shouted at me "Go to your room before I ground you!" I never hesitated to walk to my room. I locked my room door and jumped on my bed. I covered my face with a pillow and started crying. I was upset with my dad. I don't hate him I just hate what he does and how he is. I eventually cry myself to sleep.

Josh's P.O.V

I got a call from Coach early this morning saying that he'd like to meet up with me this morning. I got out of my warm bed and got dressed. I wore a white t-shirt with a dark blue jeans.
I put on any shoes I was in a rush.

In less than 15 minutes I was in my car driving to couches house. I wondered what he wanted so early in the morning.

I knocked on the house door and coach opened it. He looked kinda upset.

"Come in." He told me. I stepped inside and followed coach to his study.

"Take a seat." He told me pulling out a chair. I sat down and was completely silent.

"W-wha-ts u-up Coach." I stuttered.

He looked at me the said "Do you have any feelings for my daughter?" I got confused what did he mean by that. Did he mean in a romantic way or in a friend way.

"Yes sir." I told him. I looked down at my hands and I saw I was shacking.

"She's too young for you, you might only see it as a 3 year dif-" I cut coach off. I had to think fast "No Coach I have only feelings for her as a friend." I reassured him. To be honest with you I do really have feelings for Brooklyn but I don't know how to go about it.

"Thank goodness." Coach sighs in relief.

"So was that all you wanted to talk to me about Coach?" I asked him.

"Yes but the rest I'll tell you about at school. Go home my boy." Coach said giving me a smile. I stood up and as I walked towards the door I heard footsteps. I looked around and saw nothing. Weird.

Brooklyn's P.O.V

I was woken up by the door bell that rang. I thought to myself " It's too early for anyone to be here" I saw someone walk into my dad's study.
I walked downstairs slowly I saw inside my dad's study Josh and my dad. They didn't know I was listening

"Do you have any feelings for my daughter?" My dad asked Josh. Josh looked confused but then said "Yes sir." He looked down at his hands. I was happy to know that he has feeling for me. I did a little happy dance.

"She's too young for you, you might only see it as 3 year dif-" My dad was cut of by Josh.

"No Coach I have feelings for her as a friend." Josh said. My heart broke. I felt like crying. The next thing I know Josh got up and walked to the door. I tried to make my way as quickly as possible upstairs. Without him seeing or hearing me. He walks towards the door and goes outside. I closed my room door and slid down it. I pulled my legs to my chest and put my head in my hands. I was crying he just friendzoned me.
