Chapter 26

Brooklyn's P.O.V

It's been 4 months since my colon cancer operation,but enough of that , I'm so overjoyed. Why? Because in a week its gonna be prom. Joshua and I have grown closer and so has him and my dad. My dad went grocery shopping and him getting ready to have lunch with Josh's family for the first time. I'm nervous.... for my outfit I wore a black skinny jeans with a red and black check shirt. For shoes I wore my high heel wedge shoe that looked like kicks. I made my hair into a bun and I kept my makeup simple mascara with some lipgloss.

I heard Josh's car up, I ran to the door and opened it. Josh looked at me with a smile, I smile back. He pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back.

"You look beautiful." He complemented me.

"Awwww you making me blush." I said shyly. He laughed.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Yeah let's go."

We got into his car and we drove to his house. I couldn't wait but I was nervous, what if they don't like me?

Josh sensed my fear and held my hand. I feel much better whenever his holding my hand....I sound like such a girl now.

We arrived and Josh rushed to open my door. So sweet of him.

"Your such a gentleman." I told him.

"Anything for my girl." Was his answer. I hugged him.

"Come let me show you off to my family." He said. I never knew much about his family. I knew that he had a mom, dad and a 6 year old sister.

We walked into the house and the smell of food filled our noses. I heard someone in the kitchen.

"Mom we're here!!!" Josh yelled.

"Being her into the kitchen please!!!" Mrs Landon's yelled from the kitchen. Oh my gosh she knew I was here, my heart began beating at a abnormal pace. We walked into the kitchen and women who looked like she could be in her early 40's , she had Josh's hair colour and his eye colour. She gave me a warm smile and I smile back.

"Hey mom." Josh greeted her with a hug.

"Hi sweetie... whose your girlfriend?" She pulled away from the hug and looked at me with a smile still on her face.

Josh blushed be for answering her
"This is Brooklyn, Brooklyn this is my mom Nishay." He introduced us. She stuck her hand out and I shook it.

"Nice to meet you Mrs Landon's." I said in a very friendly tone.

"Nice to meet you too, and please call me Nishay." She said.

"I'll remember that next time. If there anything I could help with?" I asked her politely.

"No your our guest you shouldn't lift as finger."

"But I insist."

"No dear if you ask to help again I'll tell Josh to throw you into the pool." She joked. I nodded my head ands laughed.

Josh whispered in my ear
"She's serious." My eyes widened.

"Why don't you take her to meet your dad and Morgan?" Nishay said.

"Ok let's go Brooke." He said gripping my hand. I waved to his mom and she waved back.

We went into the backyard. There were flowers and a huge swing tied to the tree. They had a enormous rectangular pool. The water looked so luscious to got swim in.

To my right I saw a man with black hair all gelled back and he had alot if Josh's facial features. He looked over to Josh and I.

"Hi, you must be Brooklyn?" He said while shaking my hand. He pulled Josh into a hug.

"Josh is this her?" He asked with a smile. Josh and I both turned blood red and he nodded.

Just then a tiny girl ran over she looked so cute with her hair in a bow. She hugged Josh.

"Joshy is this your girrrlllfriends?" She dragged out the word girlfriend.

"Yes do you have a problem with it?" He teased her.

"I'll only have a problem with it if she doesn't like the magcon boys." She said so adorably, I could just eat her up. We all laughed.

"Do you?" She asked with her arms folded and her eyebrows raised up.

"Of course. Whose your favourite magcon boy?" I asked her.

"I'll tell you that in private ok." She said then pulled me to the tree swing.

"Do you know how to climb a tree?" She asked.

"I think so." I said very unsure if I could. To be honest I've never climbed a tree before, but I'll try. We climbed up and sat on the biggest branch that could hold both our body weights.

"So about the question you asked about the magcon boy..." She said softly.

"Yes?"

"My favourite is...." She hesitated before answering.

"Tell me...." I moaned.

"My favourite is Cameron Dallas." She said with a smile on her face.

"His hot but the age gap is tooooo big." I told her.

"I know there's like a 17 year difference,but never say never." She joked. I laughed.

"Whose your favourite magcon boy?" She asked. Wiggling her eyebrows wildly

"Matthew Espinosa." I said with a smile.

"Awwwwww his hot." She said.

"I know but I have Josh his my Matthew." I told her.

"But his not as hot." She giggled I gave her a playful, angry face.

"Wait pinkie promise that you won't tell him I said that." She stuck her pinkie out and we pinkie promised.

"You know I like you, you seem like the sister I never had." Morgan said. My heart melted.

"Thats such a sweet thing to say, but we hardly know each other. You never know, I could be a vampire who gets you to like me then I kill you afterward." I joked. She laughed at me. Then looked scared.

"Are you a vampire?"

"No I'm not. We should get down don't you think?"

"Nah let's stay here for a while longer please." She begged . I gave in after she pouted her lips and make puppy dog eyes. It was so cute.

"Ok let's stay a while longer." I agreed. Morgan and I spoke mostly about school and the magcon boys. She was super adorable especially when she pronounced big words wrong.
